Here are a couple of pics of our first time with our new boat. We got her wet out at Lake Perris last Saturday. It was a very nice day to say the least.

Hey Robert, is that boat really quiet ? Is it through transom exhaust or through prop ?

Who's teaching who to drive? Makayla won't be happy now unless she is at the wheel.
I'm glad everything went well for you... :)

I only got her up to about 52mph with more throttle to go. It also has a 4 blade stainless prop so we'll see next time. I was trying to be conservative because Johnny Law was always around the corner and the lake speed is 35.

Hey Waldo I am curious to see what your top speed is also, I have an 87 Bahner (i'm told it was an Eliminator hull) with the mag 350 and an alpha 1. So far my best speed is just north of 60mph turning a 23 pitch prop to about 4700rpm's. I believe my hull is the same as 77charger so I think we would have a good race!

I will definitely get back to everyone on the top speed. The boat ran very well for not being used that much. I thought it might be loaded up from being started/stopped from the guy trying to sell it but it wasn't. Like I mentioned before, it only had 25 hours on it. Now its got almost 30.
On my rather short speed run, I looked at the rpms and they were about 4100 or so doin' 52 not messin' with the trim and both tanks full of fuel. The water was a little bumpy but it still ran fast to me. The prop that is on there is a 22 pitch, 4-blade, Bravo 1 stainless. It is in pretty good shape.
I can't wait to use it at the river. We are heading out for almost a week during spring break (April 13 - 19). If it works out, the boat will get wet again before that trip.
Was anyone else out at Perris over the weekend? I saw a couple of nice Water Rods, Caliber 1, Eliminator, and a guy that looked like he had a brand spankin' new Aftershock. Oh, also saw some "sparkly" bass boats too! :D
Last but not least, a buddy of mine is picking up this 33' Daytona. Anyone know whose it is? He test drove it last weekend in Havasu and had a big grin on his face when he got back. He is going from a 27' Cougar cat w/1471 blown Teague motor to this one that has two large blower motors (not sure of size and ci). The ad said it is a 100+ mph boat (hope so for the $) and the only problem is when you do get it up to speed, your 2-way intercom headphones start to fly off. Bummer :p

Waldo, is your buddy Don? If so the boat he is buying belongs to my boss and yes it is worth every penny he is spending. The motors are 572's with 14/71's on them, they made 1200hp on the dyno but have been detuned to 1100hp, the GPS speedo goes to 120 and that boat will peg it, Congrates to both you and Don on the new boats. If I see you guys at the sand bar this year I'll buy you a silver.

Right on Hustler...Don is my buddy I was talking about. I figured someone might now the boat owner on this board. Is your boss getting something new?

He is kinda undecided at this point but I know he is looking at F34's. Don is getting a great boat, tell him I want a ride this summer if we meet up :D

You got it...I definitely want a ride as well. His old boat scared the $hit out of me so I am sure this one will be hairy too. eek!
