is speed all that important during a poker run or am i missing the whole concept??

I'm thinkin' the guys with fast boats like to go fast in them. Poker run is a great excuse to rip around with a bunch of like minded folks.
Doesn't make a bit of difference in your poker hand.....

You know the saying smoke em if ya got em. If you can go fast then go fast. Then again just being out cruising with people of the same interest is nice to. Whichever floats your boat it's just nice to be on the water.

No big or FAST boat needed...we ran the SCOPE poker run in the ocean in our 21' Hallett 210. Even this huge Sea Ray type boat named "Big Chubby" was in front of us out there (which kinda sucked :mad: :mad: )
Had a great time, but damn it, didn't win anything! :D :D
