All these topic threads always go off on a tangent anyway so I figure let's just have one with no reason for being other than to just socialise! idea
So what kind of day has everybody had? :D What's going on? What are you doing tomorrow? When are you going out on your boat next? Who did you hate in third grade? wink :D Just come and talk. :) Did I mention I never run out of questions? :D Just how many beers have you had today? :) I got a million of them I'm sure! Questions I mean. If I had a million beer I would have no beer and maybe 250, 000 friends!! LMAO! See? Told you. Never bored but the ways I amuse myself worries some folks! LMAO! Better save me from myself and come talk eh? :)

OK, I'll start. :) Weather in Havasu is beyond -perfect -- it was only about 90 today, which is cool for June here. It was perfectly clear, and oh so scenic. Went to OP6C, then hung out on the channel for a while.
I've had LOTS of beers. but it's OK to say that since I'm safely here at home in the little Havasu house.
bye-bye,
CS

Too many smileys to include this in above post lol!
Okay I'll ramble some more ...
I've had a good day. Ex phoned to tell me that Wakestock was on today and I got to watch it and record it and I was soooo happy cuz now I have Parks Bonifay on my videotape! Damn he's good! Plus I love his attitude .. he cracks me up! my little boy watched the wakeboard clips with me that I have on the computer just before Wakestock came on and so he liked it and didn't complain about turning the channel from a kid's show ... he asked me how those guys do all those tricks like I would know! LOL! I just love watching them! He said he figured only adults could do that so I told him about Froggie Soven! That made him giggle when he found out how young Froggie Soven was when he started wakeboarding! I think it would rock if my kid was interested in learning how to wakeboard. :)
That was early afternoon. Later on we had take-out pizza and lasagna for supper ... then kiddo left with his Dad ... peace and quiet is nice too. :) Well except for the tunes but that's a different thing altogether ... that's not negotiable ... that's a necessity ... especially after the kid's shows I had to endure today!
:)

OK. Spent all day with my son. He was sick all last week, but is better now. I just have to keep him quiet so he can recover. Watched tv (gotta love that Sponge Bob Square Pants!) and played video games on the Playstation II (Burn Out, GT3, and Tiger Woods golf). Also got him one of those ZipZap mini RC cars. Those things are bad. Gonna have to get another for me (kid at heart) so we can race. Also read books and played with K'NEX (yes, I was down on the floor with him. :)
Bad thing is, I only get him every other weekend, and I just bought him a pair of water skiis and had the ski boat all ready to go. I guess it can wait. wink
Good weekend so far! :D

Sometimes yes even I have laughed at Sponge Bob Square Pants even though it is supposedly a kid's show! LOL!
Me and Jacob did some arts and crafts stuff my kiddo is very creative and has definite ideas about how he wants his artwork to look when it's finished ... he's a bit of a perfectionist .. hmm must get that from his Dad :D
I rot at video games FC. :( Slow reflexes. Only two I've ever gotten into was Super Mario Brothers (and sadly I've never saved the princess)
and The Sims Living Large. I do like to watch other people play Final Fantasy 8. There I go with the watching stuff again, LOL!
How old is your son (hope you don't mind me asking)? His first pair of waterskis? So has he never been waterskiing? Or has he already learned to waterski just on borrowed skis? Anyway I think it's so cool when kids get to do things like that.

Vancouver is known for mild weather so it only usually gets mildly cold, or mildly hot. Hell, even the rain rarely falls with any ferocity it drizzles more often than not. It's all very mild and laid back here. :D

MRS FLYIN VEE
06-22-2003, 03:59 PM
Well thats good. So your never to hot or too cold.Do you get to go boating alot due to the weather or can you pretty much go any time?

FMluvswater
06-22-2003, 04:04 PM
Okay I'll speak Celsius to you but you'll think there really are igloos here even in the summer ... A comfortably warm day is 19 degrees. A pleasantly hot sweaty day is 27 degrees. A stay in the shade drink lots of fluids and do nothing else scorcher day is 32+ IMO anyway. :D

I don't have a boat ... yet (257 says it's good to think positively :) ) My friend Skiffy takes his boat out pretty much all year long so yeah I guess if I had one ... ahem when I have one I'll probably go a lot. :D (I once thought I'd never own a new computer ... well I do now so anything is possible!)

MRS FLYIN VEE
06-22-2003, 04:14 PM

There's a radio contest here in Vancouver where if you answer your phone and say this catch phrase instead of saying hello when the station calls you the radio station will give you $1000 and I'm thinking if I could win that and just pretend I didn't and squirrel it away in a bank account ... oh that's just one possibility ... not putting all my eggs in that basket or anything but it'd still be nice if that happened. :) Thanks for the positive energy vibes .. those work eventually ... hopefully ... I WILL own my very own boat someday. :D

MRS FLYIN VEE
06-22-2003, 04:30 PM
You WILL own your own boat.Just like your computer. Just start thinking about the colors you want it to be.It will get you on the right track and just that much closer to getting one. That's what we did.Sometimes we had to go without things. But it is worth it.It is also good to have people you know that have a boat and let you go with them. That is a true friend.Everyone needs people like that in the world and it would be a better place. :D :D

FMluvswater
06-22-2003, 04:42 PM
Colors? I don't mind what color it is .... I just want it to be fast! :D (I'm told this means not a jet boat wink ) I don't know enough yet to decide. I do like the boats with the huge motors on the back that look heavy like they should be sinking the boat but I'm told those motors are actually pretty lightweight.
There was a video clip that Infomaniac put up on here of a 5 boats wide boatrace and the one that came in second (I think? it was hard to tell who won) was the one that grabbed all my attention. I've watched that clip a couple dozen times. :D

Nothing against Ruck no denying he's good but I just don't favor him at all, I hope someone other than him takes it. I'd love it if Parks took it! He's a good rider. :) I've got a clip on the puter that shows all the different wakeboard tricks and there's text on the screen naming each one. Mark Kenney is one of the riders in the clip. I'm gonna be looking at the clip a lot so I'll understand more about what I'm seeing when my mouth is hanging open in fascinated awe! LOL! :D

Yeah I tuned in to the tube on the weekend to see Wakestock. It was great, and you gotta know what the hell to look for to what trick these guys and girls are pullin.. How the hell do you remember the names. All I can seem to pull off is the front side lip stand. Yeah I am no pro, but getting better. I am landing the frontside heelside (and toeside) 180's to go to and from fakey...that is about it...

Well I got the clip off of Kazaa. It's about 5 min long and has a funky music soundtrack.
The file is called Long movie of wakeboard tricks(5 min).mpg
If you're able to grab it I recommend it. It's fascinating and it labels each trick as it's happening. :)

That's actually pretty impressive. So what if it's not Pro, as long as you're having fun, and learning new tricks or just practicing the ones you already know until you're happy with the outcomes. :) You ever gonna get someone to digicam you wakeboarding and post it? :D I'd wanna see that. :)

Aww that's so special! I treasure the vague memories I have of my Grandpa and my Granddad. Thankfully Jacob is close with his Dad's parents so he does have grandparents in his life. :)
I still feel emotionally close to my Grandma. I don't keep in very good touch with her though. My bad. She also lives in Spanish.
Do you have set times that you go back to visit or is it just whenever you can?

well lets see Sat was great. I got drunk, I don't do beer. I like the hard stuff.
Sunday was in the high80s took the boat out, water was 62 very cold. Bill took the boat out to show off. because the seado and the bayliner was there. He likes to f**k with them. He sucked up the rope to the ancor, lost it. Had to take the bowel off to get it out. Well then carb cought on fire. Fuel down and out the headers. The only boat that would take the rest of us off the rock was the seado. But we will remeber the two boats (f.a.h.) that was there. But the Seado had to take two trips to get us and our stuff off the rock. (4people and 2 collers) But now our one friend is banded from the boat. He is the bad luck man, last yr he bumped the boat into the rock and did damage not to bad. Just ended up taking part of the paint and discrete the rubber bumper. This yr he tried to blow it up and/or sink it. So he has to ride in my dad's egg beater on the 4th of July. Not the jet!!!!!!!!! pig_flyi But good thing we still have the jet boat. Now to fix it again. cry

sunbunny until I moved to Vancouver I was always within walking distance of a fresh water lake mainly Lake Huron. That is what I miss most about Ontario- swimming in the lake and napping in the sun. I don't like the ocean for swimming in and chlorinated pools ehh what's the point if I can't dry off in the sun afterwards? I love water I love to swim ... but lake=free
public swimming pool=ripoff. I'm hoping to do some swimming in Kelowna. :)

So I've managed to sign up to volunteer at the Pro Wakeboard Tour events in Kelowna. Working the front gate. Got to talking with the volunteer co-ordinator and he showed me a pic of his boat ... wicked nice! Said he might get me wakeboarding had to laugh at that .. I'm such a chicken shit ... that looks frighteningly fast and scary just watching ... as a passenger in a boat okay yes sure go VERY fast faster the better but holding onto an itty bitty rope and being yanked at that speed ... ummm help! LOL! Ok I likely won't pass up the chance if it comes down to it ... I think. :D
So how is everyone today? What's for lunch? What's the last movie you watched? Was it any good? Okay if you don't already own it what is your dream boat? If you already got your dream boat did it meet your expectations? (Some subtle research wink )
