spotted the h2 limo the other day. If you could think of a strecthed limo, someone already has beat you to the idea. There is sooooo much money to be made in limo service. Not in the business, but rented one for my wedding years ago, and it was like 300.00 for a few hours. What easy money.....

Boozer I wouldnt do that, I would keep the dodge and trade in my wifes car. 2 tow vehicles, just in case something happens to one of them. That also might mean 2 boats in the near future....

2500 Avalanche 4x4 with 8.1L big block Thats probably going to be our next ride. I am sure the gas sucks, how is the insurance & towing power? Gas Mileage - What's the expression, "if you have to ask you can't afford it?" Anyway, the gas mileage was already low when I got it (7,000 pounds of mass and an 8.1L, 496 cubic inch big block with 4.10 gears will do that) and since I lifted it 6" with the RCD lift, it's getting below 10MPG.
Power - tons of it. Lots of HPs and plenty of torque. And it's needed in a truck of that size. It'll tow a house off the foundation.
Only engine I know that'll out torque it is a diesel but I didn't want to spend thousands more for the diesel and the Allison tranny. I won't drive the truck enough miles to ever pay for that initial cost (plus maintenance isn't any cheaper).
By the way, the 8.1L works really well with the 3.73 gears (they come that way from the factory). But you will want the 4.10 gears if you're planning on lifting it.

HDD  Well since you asked...
I thought I wanted an H2 Hummer but once I saw the interior (more plastic than a toy factory) and the limited space inside a big vehicle (not to mention the price) it was easy to opt for the Avalanche (with a far nicer interior, more power, different gearing, more room and flexibility).
The Avalanche truly is a unique vehicle. It carries 5 people in absolute comfort and the interior is top notch. The cargo box is watertight, fully enclosed and locked. There are three panels covering the cargo box that are very quickly and easily removed (and stowed in the cargo box). And of course, there's the midgate design which allows the rear seat to be quickly folded down allowing the midgate to drop and the vehicle can handle 4' x 8' sheets of whatever with the tailgate closed and locked (and the cargo box panels on so the materials are protected from weather and theft).
Like they show on TV the "change" can be made in under a minute by two people (one on each side of the back seat). There's lots of room for people and carrying most anything and it can be a pickup truck anytime you need the full 8' bed length.
The best thing is you get all the capabilities of a pickup truck with the great ride of a Suburban-sized vehicle (rides much better than any pickup truck). And unlike the Super Doodie Fords (sorry blue oval guys but I gotta tell it like it is), the Chevy/GM IFS (Independent Front Suspensions) deliver a way better ride than a solid front axle truck that Ford makes (ride and handling don't compare to the IFS).
Check the Av out - now that they're making it "WBH" (factory code for without body hardware [cladding]) there's no reason not to like it.
