In the Ramada on the ground floor there is a great Italian restaurant. It is a nice place.

I recommend the"Orleans Room"at the Colorado Belle.Very good food without being too pretentious.Try the blackened prime rib or the caesar salad. They make the salad and dressing from scratch at the table. As far as things to do,the Ramada has tic-tac-toe vs a live chicken.J/k.Actually just pick up one of the entertainment papers and look for a show to go to.They are starting to get some good shows with big name entertainers here so you might see what's in town. Here's the website
www.visitlaughlin.com (http://www.visitlaughlin.com)
they have links to all the hotels and the chamber of commerce.

Not for your "special dinner", but the Colorado Belle has a great micro brewery bar and restaurant. I highly recommend it. great beer.

SoCal,what the F%$K are you talkin about?Everyone knows Don Laughlin's Riverside Light is the best beer on the river....So good,in fact that they had to raise the price from 99 cents to a buck and a half!!!!

Good dinner at the Golden Nugget. Just after you enter on the right side. (The exact name skips me for now) Lobster, fish, beef. The desert coffees are great. wink Stick around after 10 or so for some dancing. :) :D Check to see if you can get reservations
River Palms has Madalin's Steak House. Nice but more a senior crowd. eek! Food is good.

Passigos is our favorite,, but it's noisy.
Doesn't the Edgewater have a nice place called the Embers Room downstairs???
It's a nice steak/bbq place, reasonable prices,, goods food, nice atmosphere.
Correct me if I'm wrong, the casinos are starting to look alike.

Rod I was kiddin.I think that Don Laughlin is so cheap that he takes recycled urine and mixes it with melted butter from the cheap ass buffet and tops it off with river water to make beer.

1. Gourmet Room at the Riverside. Pretentious but fantastic food and great bar overlooking the river. Recommended = crepes suzette for dessert. Reservations REQUIRED - sometimes a few days in advance.
2. The Lodge in the River Palms. Pretentious as well but great food and great "timber lodge" look plus overlooks the river. Reservations recommended.
3. Hickory Pit at the Edgewater. Great steaks, casual good bar but small. Reservations recommended.
4. Granny's Gourmet in the Pioneer - brunch is fantastic on Sunday but make reservations and expect to spend a couple of hours. Come very hungry.
5. Nothing in the Flamingo.
Note...for the 1 anniversary go to the Gourmet Room. Make reservations BEFORE YOU LEAVE for Laughlin.

Dude, frickin Loser's Lounge is the place. Nothing like Wet T-shirt night on Thursdays to start it up for you and the wife. Just kidding man.
Gourmet Room at Riverside. Nice place, good service. Ate there during Memorial didn't need reservations. I would recommend them though if you want to eat early. You can get a nice table overlooking the river, nice view. Their is also a real nice Steakhouse in the Edgewater(I think it's there). You can get to it from the boardwalk. It's downstairs between the Buffet, arcade, and their 24 hour coffee shop/diner eatery. I've think those are a couple of the nicest spots. I've eaten at most but not all. Have fun. Knock one out for the boys. :D :D

Hey Dan, I have to agree with HighRoller on the Orleans Room at the Colorado Belle, Candi and myself had dinner there after we got married and were very impressed with the place. We did'nt think Laughlin had anything that upscale. eek! :D

I have to second the recommendation for the Gourmet Room at the Riverside. I have been eating there for years. Great bar and dinner seating overlooking the river as stated above. Good service without being rushed as in most casino restaurants. I would recommend the veal oscar, veal picatta, or the elk. They are all great. I would also highly recommend the freedom onion soup (formally French onion soup) the wilted spinach salad for two made fresh table side and the bananas foster for two also made table side for desert. The executive chef Henri had a great restaurant in Havasu years ago but gave it up and moved to Laughlin in the early 90s. Do follow the suggestion to make reservations well in advance. Just call the Riverside toll free number and ask to be connected to the Gourmet Room. Granted I am not a big fan of the Riverside but the Gourmet Room is truly an oasis in the desert.

Hooter-sled, go for the weekend entertainment at the lesbian, er, LOSER'S lounge! On Friday and Saturday nights you're better off going to the Arroweed and making fun of the not-quite-Vegas acts!
