I live in So.Cal and getting tired of high registration,and property taxes on my boat.Anyone have info on ways to cut these cost down.?thanks..

If you use the boat in Arizona register it there. You can contact Arizona Fish and Game and they will send you the paper work. It is very easy to do and cheaper. wink :D

Here's a link the a similar thread from a while back. Some good info in there. Here's the skinny on registrations:
USCG regulations state that you must register your boat in the STATE OF PRIMARY USE! So, if you use your boat in AZ more than 51% of the time, you should register it there. Register as a non-resident. It costs a bit more than CA registration, but they have NO PROPERTY/LUXURY TAX!
The trailer is different. If you tow your boat back and forth to the river on CA highways, then the trailer should be registered in CA.
