This snow has be on the ground since Sunday. We have set a new all time Febuary record with 10" of this white crap. We have set records for the last 3 days for lowest highs averaging in the low 20's. Our normal temp now is almost 60. Times like this make you want to live in Yuma or Needles.
Just got a new digital camara today so I had to take a pic of the boat covered in snow!

Yea I had that cover made this year. With 25 tie downs it should be tight. Hopefully it will carry the weight of the snow. Hell next week it will proabally be warm enough to take it out. That is the way it works around here. If you dont like the weather wait a little bit and it will change!!! Still waiting! AAARRRGGGG

I'm getting tired of snow here in Mi but evidently not tired enough.
We just booked a trip for the whole family to go to Colorado for a ski vacation in mid March.
Really adds up when you bring 6 people.

I agree that the snow probably sucks but sure is nice for the summer time when the runoff is filling all the lakes and rivers!!!

You think 10" is bad..........we are in the middle of the 3rd snowiest winter on record (Indy). eek! During Feb. alone, we have got pounded with more than 21" of snow which has set the record for the month of February. To date, we have had more than 47" total. burningm
Fortunately, my boat is sitting at home, in the garage! smile_sp

If I lived in the mountains the snow would not bother me. Time to go carve. But in the plains (flat land) it sucks.
Havasu Dreaming........I feel your pain.
Just let it snow in the mountains out west so you guys can fill your lakes up. Looking at Powell you guys need it. Unless there is a big change we are going to cancel a trip out there.

This is a pretty good site if you want to follow the Colorado River and everything that feeds into it. It shows just about everything.

Drier than average conditions have now prevailed for the past three years in the Colorado River Basin. Total unregulated inflow into Lake Powell in water year 2000 and 2001 was 62 and 59 percent of average, respectively, and only 25 percent of average in 2002. Inflow in 2002 was the lowest ever observed since the completion of Glen Canyon Dam in 1963. These low inflows have reduced water storage in Lake Powell. The current elevation of Lake Powell is 3,619.7 feet (82.3 feet from full pool). Current storage is approximately 13.7 million acre-feet (56 percent of capacity). The water surface elevation of Lake Powell will likely continue to decline until April, 2003. Dated January of 2003

I didn't mind the snow, but the ice on the pikes was hell. I got tapped on the WR Sunday and the replacement bumpers are going to cost $2k. This would be the year that my wife upped our deductible. The whole state has been a skating rink all week. yuk Next week my toy goes to the shop while I go to the mountains for a week of falling downhill. eek!
