Not the Jesse James look, that's the keep my ears warm while skiing look. Not even close to enough ink for the JJ look.
As far as the snow, it was great. There were several trails up off the top of Apache that were knee deep powder as they hadn't gotten around to grooming them. The weather was great. Started off in a sweater under my jacket, but by lunch time it was back to the truck to rethink the wardrobe and ended up with a long sleeve t-shirt.
I'd go as soon as you can seeing how warm it's already getting. I think it was around 45 or so yesterday.

LG, as far as the snowboarding, I tried that years ago and it was harder on my knees and ankles (and ass and wrists from falling) than skiing. I hadn't been skiing in 5+ years and don't see myself going again in the near future. I think I'll stick to sand and water. :D

No I have many that I can borrow if I need to. :p I'm in the same boat. I have all kinds of friends with horses and they get to feed them and deal with them full time. I'm even on horse property and most my neighbors have horses. Right now though, none of my toys eat when I'm not playing with them. :D
