The EduKATor {Russ}, my twin bro Ray & Ms. EduKATor are goin to check out the races this weekend either Sat or Sun, and the SDSU football game on Sat since we live less then 8 miles from the beach and 1 mile from the stadium. Any body else going?

I live in UC and can hear the engines running from my yard. My son and I will be down there tomorrow.

I'm not sure if I want to drop the boat in the bay or just watch from the shore, but I know we are gonna be there if not tommorow then sunday.

It is tough to launch as they close a lot of the ramps. You have to go all the way around to the western part of the bay.
We used to launch and watch from our boat a few years ago. Always seemed a little risky to be floating on an outside corner when the 150 MPH boats were headed straight at us....
Last year they closed the DeAnza ramp and that east end of the bay altogether. Now you have to go to Santa Clara or Dana Landing.
I usually park my pickup and take my bicycle to get closer without walking so much.

Hey guys. Just got back. Watched one amazing blowover, eek! the guy did a complete 360 and actually landed it like he was trying to flip. Landed it right side up and they towed him back to shore.
My son got a pic with the Pacerettes, from a local strip joint. :D I'll post some pics in a bit.

Check out the Hummers...I guess they do it different than the rest of us. I usually put the boat in water and keep the truck out...Maybe I have been wrong all this time.

How much was the ticket price and parking?

Uh, kids were $15 General Admission and pit pass. One day tickets for adults were $25.00 General Admission and $15.00 for the pit pass.
A three day pass was $45.
I can hear them running again from the back yard. The big boats are out on the island and the drag boats are on Crown Point. We took our bicycles and rode around. Sure beats walking!
