Does anyone have any cool boating related screen saver pictures? or possibly an aerial picture of the sandbar on a busy weekend?

Maybe it is just me getting old but there is no way I would want me or my boat in the middle of the fray. :D

great picture.
3 suggestions if you get caught up in that mess, pack a big lunch, bring 2 or 3 coolers full of drinks, and watch out for pontoons. :D

Is that really how it gets?
I would not have a very good time worrying about my boat in that mess.... idea
Well maybe after a few dozen beers..?
No wonder Barney stays so busy....

For the most part people are pretty considerate about others boats. However you do get the occasional a**hole who shouldn't be on the water in the first place. At least that has been my experience.

I think I forget to say bring extra boat fenders & paddles too.
jetboat brian, it gets like that. ever boat owner is pretty careful in there. Its the renters that you have to watch out for.

If you like Offshore stuff, go to Cigarretteracing.com If you look at the boat models many of them have cool screen savers.

Not fun if you have to leave and in the middle, I always ttry to stay on the outside and watch the action to keep from being trapped  Like the others say a cooler full of cold ones and a lunch is all you need to watch the show idea

RD, our first time in havasu was Memorial 96.
So we dont know how it was in the "mellow" days. I do have to agree every year since it gets a little more packed. But the savage in me likes the action.

Damn that looks like the line for the launch ramp on labor day at Lake Mohave!!!Last year on labor day the river was WAY down so I was about the only one out there, all the prop boaters were on the lake.About 2pm a monsoon blows in,so I'm floatin down by the casinos and all the sudden a caravan of 20 cop cars goes racing across the bridge and turns right towards the lake.I'm thinkin someone must have crashed.Nope, they pretty much had a riot on the launch ramp as everyone was trying to get out.The police had to physically seperate people and direct traffic. So much for gettin along with your fellow boater eh?

Anyone NOT had a fight at the launch ramp. Try as I might, not all days end on a good note. The times have been few and far between, but there have been many opportunities.

Mrs. Scuba,
Any idea what year and holiday that is in the picture? I'm in a few of those from the early to mid 90's. Just wondering if that might be one of them......
