This is Katepwa Lake, where I do most of my boating. It's a nice lake but it does get pretty nasty on the odd occasion.

Here's an areal shot most of Katepwa Lake. I don't know what that haze is as we don't really have smog but it was a hot and humid day so it could just be that. The lake is about 9 miles long.

Here's a shot of Wascana Lake at sunset. This was taken about 3 blocks from my house. It's a nice little lake but there are no power boats allowed, other than a ferry and the rowing club has an aluminum boat with about a 3 horse engine for emergencies.
I remember wanting to adjust my trailer and my Dad suggested I just dump the boat into Wascana Lake and make the adjustments in the marina parking lot. I imagine the Wascana Authority people would be doing cartwheels at the sight of my XR-4. :D
If the water looks unusual to some of you Californians, that's because it's in a rare (to you) solid form. That happens if you get the water cool enough.

The ocean is beautiful but a bit much for me. I like lakes. Ontario had some quaint ones. Sugar Lake was a nice one. :)

It's a Samsung SyncMaster3 and the picture tube is set too dark and can't be fixed with the front buttons. I like the pics you're posting. :)

My system is new though and works good AMD Athlon XP 1800+ brand new keyboard & mouse awesome speakers with a subwoofer :D just lousy monitor and no fun stuff like printer or scanner ... better than no puter at all :)

Okay even though they are not prime specimens and likely the orientation leaves something to be desired can I still say I'd rather see that than T & A? Here is our change of seasons:
Spring around early april with the Dogwoods just starting to bloom and some green starting to show:

Oh wow 572Daytona! Those are gorgeous pictures! It's weird my fave season is summer but I always find that pics of the leaves changing color in autumn are just breathtakingly beautiful. The one you posted is particularly striking. :)

I just did a quick search and it looks like transparent aluminum is a reality (http://www.angelfire.com/wa/jace/trek/aluminum.html).
I didn't know that. That takes away alot of the humour of my previous post.
Still, aluminum by definition is not transparent, so they will have to call it something else; like maybe "traluminum" or something ...
Go figure...

Stormy Seas on the way back through the Lake Powell Channel (aka, the washing machine) This houseboat had like 50 different watercraft tied up to it, Ok, I MAY be exajerating................but, this wasn't fun. We were ok, in our big boat, but there was traffic..............and waves....and we were almost forced into the rocks..............

At Lake Powell they now have this narrow channel (because of the low lake level) over by Antelope Marina.
It was raining and very crowded. Pretty narley..........and we were freaking out because our depth finder said the channel was like 3-4ft deep??!?!
On the other hand, we really enjoyed how our bigger boat took the swells. :D

On December 23rd, 2005 we went for a drive to tour Christmas lights in Burnaby.
We had a listing of places to go see that we got from the internet.
We saw quite a few places that night but only the ones that really wowed us got captured digitally - 4 places in total.
