Hey, i just gotta ask!
A friend of mine in Texas said he knows someone that is in Lake havasu this summer and he told him if your boat doesn't go at least 100mph DO NOT UNLOAD HERE AT THIS RAMP!
Is this true?
Just had to know.
Thankz

uh...no.
It probably read, "if you don't have $10, DO NOT UNLOAD HERE AT THIS RAMP!

The guy was proably joking, but I will say that a 100 mph boat is not a big deal on the lake anymore. I would say to run with some of the big dogs on the lake you will need to run at least 130 mph. I know of at least a few boats on the lake that run in the 130-150 range (all twin blown cats).
I have just as much fun on our new 80 mph boat as I did on our 100+ cat. It is all relative.

I had a 1996 Eliminator 21 Daytona rigged by DCB, a 2000 DCB Mach 26 with twin 2.5's, and a 2001 DCB Mach 26 with a blown 510 chevy. We live close to the ocean and wanted to do some offshore boating as well as Havasu so the cat had to go.
I like cats, but in order to feel safe running in the ocean I think we would have to go with something in the 32'-36' range and then you run into towing issues with the wide beam. I might go back to a cat someday though.
A 28' Skater with twin 300x's or a 30' Spectre would be fun, but my other 1/2 says she does not want to run in the ocean in a cat that small.
