We've got a 95 K1500 but with a 5.7. No starter problems...yet. Oil leak, radiator tank cracked, thermostat leaked. That's it so far.

You may want to try bypassing any non-factory option 1st just to start the process of elimination. Alarm,stereo etc.

Just my .02 :) Maybe so, but my monthly payment is $0 and what is yours? eek! I think I have it figured out anyways...some corrosion between the two cable connectors. :D
