I plan on going to Knotts Berry Farm tommorow and return on Friday. Thing is, I want to leave Knotts at about 5:00pm and head out the quickest way towards Palm Springs-Phoenix. Am I going to get traffic jams all the way out? What route is best?? Should I suck it up and stay overnight and go Saturday??
Thanks in advance

5:00 Friday traffic heading East out of the LA area??? I'm from Phoenix and will suggest that you suck it up and stay over and come back Saturday. :D

yup...traffic the whole way....unless you have Fast Track for the 91. That will help a little bit. last friday at the same time it took me 2hrs to get from Long Beach to corona...

Not only what he said, but leaving Knotts at 5:00 PM is a waste of a trip to a theme park. You'll be luck to see half of it if you leave that early.

Stay over, or have a nice long dinner and head out late.
When does traffic in that direction let up now? 9pm?
Everytime I sit down there I remember why I left...

I drive the 91 eastbound daily. At 5 pm you're phucked, period. ESPECIALLY ON A FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Expect it to take you like an hour and a half just to get to the 15. NOw if you had Fastrak, I'm assuming you don't, you'd be better. Wait until like maybe 8pm to leave, it will be ALOT better.

The 91 sucks at any time of day or any day of the week.

I'm telling ya. I leave work around 1:30ish. I ALWAYS use Fastrak on Fridays now. It's already that bad by then. 45 min to an hour from the 710 to Corona.

I sure as hell don't miss that South Bay tug to the river. Can't tow in the Fastrak lanes anyways. I used to take the 605 to the 210. Or the 57 to the 210. I NEVER rolled the 91. Fock that!! Wasn't too bad. WAAAyyy better than the 91.

That 210 is a life saver man. You never catch much traffic on it. People still decide to mess with the 10.

I've come to the conclusion that there is no good time to miss traffic in So. Cal. I'm convinced that traffic just sucks all of the time here anymore.
