Was at the Parker strip this morning and everything went fine. Had some rain early, but it went away and made for some cloudy but cooler weather.

Weather in Havasu over the weekend was as close as could be to perfect. Little to no winds, not overly hot, water perfect. :D Even perfect to sit on the patio in the evening and not sweat.

We got just very light misting sprinkles sunday. It was actually refreshing. Bigass rainbow too. I worked on my boat outside all day so it was great! Today wasn't bad either. Low 80's.
JLnorthrup (what's up with that?) I'm hoping for my jet to be on the water soon. We should hook up next summer. I'm 2 1/2 hrs from you. We got a nice little lake. The launch is 3 blocks from my place.

You Iowa guys definitely got alot of water to choose from, my wife grew up in Spencer, and when I took her back to visit I was amazed at all the lakes. We even rented a boat to ride around Okaboji, lots of boats, didn't look like a lot of performance stuff though. We still might drag the DCB back some time to tour the local lakes. The weather was perfect at Havasu last weeknd, right around 100 degreees and zero wind, without a cloud in the sky.

Its good to here from folks who know about Iowa. Okaboji is a really nice lake. when you where there did you see that house on the east lake with the lock that led up to that dudes house and into his garage?

JLN thanks for bumpin the thread. I mostly hang on just jets.
One HUGE project ya got goin there. Good luck!!
I've got 25 yrs. exp. at metal fab of all kinds and wouldn't even attempt it. My shops not big enough. he he he
As to Iowa for boating the assortment of waterways is huge. I also am 45 minutes from Minnesota (the land of 10,000 lakes. Okaboji is a nice lake but within 4 hrs. of me is the Miss. river and probably 2,000 lakes. Also many smaller rivers. I can't imagine livin in the middle of some desert and bein a boater. I can hit the lake with a rock from my house and the constant proximity to the water is what drives me.
Hope we hook up someday. Anybody wants to come to a little 7 mile lake in Iowa let me know.
