496 HO Break in period?

Anyone know how long the break in period is for a 496 HO, or at what hrs. the computer releases the horsepower to maximum output?

The motor should be fully broken in - in the first 10 hours or so. After 10 hours change the oil.filter and hammer away for a while.
Mine seemed to pick up some power and have less soot on the transom at about 30 hours.
