Was thinking of having a Midwest ***boat ShinDig this summer and remember some peeps saying they would like to check it out this year. If so when?
The best time would be for the Shoot Out or a Holiday like Laybor Day. :D
Lets hear some thoughts and ideas on the subject idea

I would love to see LOTO, especially during an event like the shoot out. However, I am concerned that my low freeboard 19' tunnel boat will get swamped. :( I like swimming, but not that much. eek!

SuperV, I'd like to make it out there atleast once this year, but I don't know if the finances are going to allow it. I will know more in the next month 1/2. :)
Just let me know tickets go for about $200 from ONT, LA or SD wink

I did some research on this last year, you and I would most likely be confined to a backwater somewhere drinking beer.........wait, that's not so bad :D All of the advice I got from the regulars there was - "Don't do it in your little boat."
I imagine it would be a seriously good time as a bar based spectator that weekend but nothing beats being on the water.

I wonder if we could rent a pontoon party barge or something similar for the weekend. I would be up for that! :D My guess is that we would need to make reservations for something like that soon though. :o

I would be interested in that, Don't make it during the IHBA drags in Grand Rapids, Mi. though. July 5 + 6.
LOTO would be about a 10 hr drive for me.

What could be more romantic than taking in the ambience of a beautiful lake, sipping your beverage of choice and enjoying the serene sounds of rolling thunder with 10,000 like thinking individuals... wink
I'm game....if this strange job of mine doesn't throw up any last minute "challenges".

I'm game. LOTO is about 8 hrs. for me. It would most likely be my wife and I, so we would have some room in our boat. We might even have two other boats that would come with us, 31' cat and a 27' crusier. Probably have a coulpe more spots on each of those. Keep me in mind on this one.
