Have any of you heard of the Great Western Tube Float in Parker? I was thinking about going, but I've only recently heard of it... is it a good/partying time?

Many years ago I was there on that weekend. We were staying at a condo just above Sport's Valley and it looked like a great time---lot of fun. We were able to idle between the tube floaters in our boat. I say go and have a great time.

You going to run some kind of support boat for food and frosty adult beverages, not to mention tunes? Although, people used to build some pretty wicked tune tubes to float the Salt River out here.

Two people need three tubes........one tube to hold a cooler full of beer. Use to do this on the Sac. River. Lots o' fun! :D

It was a blast. Especially the rapids at Goethe Park.

HavasuDreamin,
Where on the Sac did you tube? When I was going to Chico State back in the very early 70s, we used to put in @ Hamilton City bridge and float down to Scotty's Landing. Some great memories. :) By the way, I played football & ran track 1971-1973 and I did graduate. :D

The Tube Float is usually held on Saturday of the first full weekend in June. Which would place it June 7th this year. This year will mark the 26th annual float.
Here's a link to the info on last years float.

This will also be my first time in Parker...I've been north to Laughlin, and typically in Havasu, but never to Parker. What are the places to go? ie Eat, drink, and have a good old time? I'm staying @ Blue Water.

Several of my friends went to Chico State back in the early 90's. I don't know where we put in at, but we would float down to scotty's have a few drinks, perhaps catch a wet T-shirt contest and then continue to some beach a little further down where we would hang out an party some more. Great Fun.
Oh yeah, out of my six friends that attended Chico State, only one graduated and it took him six years. :p

Why Float when ya got a boat? It's just something you have to experience for yourself...we're taking the boat, the float is just an added bonus.

You can all tie on your tubes to the back of my jet and experience the power of the rooster!
