Hydrocephalus is a not funny disease. I'm not sure about the atrophy, Roz, but I am sure that it is the result of spinal fluid surrounding the brain, due to the body's lack of ability to absorb it. it gets worse as the child develops, resulting in an extremely oversized cranium.
For what its worth, humans are not the exclusive recipient of this sometimes fatal disease...

I just have to put the shaft in the lathe and recut the shoulder to set the impeller clearance and then start putting it back together. But right now I am working on my trailer. I have the frame painted and the fenders primed I just have to sand them and shoot them and I will be back to work on the jet.

The lateral ventricles of the brain over produces CSF(Cerebral Spinal Fluid) at a rate much greater (sometimes more than double) than it is absorbed into the bloodstream.
The ratio of newborns who have the disease is 1:1000. With proper treatment they can lead normal lives...ie. meds, shunts, etc....
People afflicted with this disease have exhibited learning dissabilities, most have normal to advanced intelligence and live normal lives. But as 1step said, fatallaties do occur and the brain sometimes show signs of deterrioration(atrophy). :D
EDIT:Also, It's not just a birth defect. Any form of severe head trauma (accident, tumor, cyst for example) can be a trigger.

I would like to mention to those that think Miller & I are the same in one...YOU'RE WRONG :D
For starters, Miller can talk 'projects' I prefer to just talk (a main difference between men & women) He likes boat parts & taking them apart, I prefer boats intact that run. He prefers nice looking clean boats, where I like nice clean boats, but honestly prefer anything that can drag my a*s around the lake. To him he sees several differences between different boats, to me I see pretty & not so pretty. So you see we are very different folks...
...and for JJ I have no idea where she is...she hasn't responded to my e-mails either. :( I thought for sure Jordy had already called all Christian private schools in the Southern Cal area to see if he could find his honey bunches of oats...any luck Jordy? wink :p
