Am I 3 sheets in??? :confused: Actually, it's an old sailing phrase that dates back to the day of big square sail ships. a "Sheet" is the rope that controls the sail. On the square sail it was controled by 4 "sheets", one on each corner. If 3 of the sheets are untied and blowing in the wind, the ship will sailing out of control. Kind of like a tipsy sailor ...
