ShockwaveHarry, check you email, Great seeing you at Topock, sorry for the rush-off, the girls were NOT feeling well after the night before...lets hook-up...

I still don't get the whole "bottles in the boat" thing. Glass around boats or around any water is just plain stupid!!! Yea, Corona is nice, just drink'em in your double-wide, not in or near the water, river or beach. Sorry to hear your friend got cut, messes up a nice afternoon.

Havasu luvr, sorry about the damage to one of your crew members. I agree no bottles on the water. when your away from the boat, at the sandbar or the channel, a pair of sandles/water shoes would help out with some extra protection.

I hate that glass thing in the water or on the beach. I saw a guy hop out of a boat once and land on a broken off beer bottle. Needless to say it was ugly. frown

if it is full, it would be hard to handle, unless it is hung or on a stand. I am working on the stand now. I only fill it up with about 8 beers, 2/person. but it can hold about a 20 pack. I havent done the actual math, due to the foam allowance. :D

Stater Bros. Market sells Corona in cans, along with Tecate, Heinken, ETC.
Standard common sense for pool areas too.

Back to the glass at the river subject really quick. dont get me wrong I am all for cans only. and if I recall its prohibited to have glass containers at the channel. but what do we tell the women/girls who dont like beer? and if they do like beer, most of them like coronas from a bottle? so where does that leave us? pre mixing the drinks in plastic containers? if anyone has done that it kind of looses something, the plastic seems to absorb the alcohol or something. I dont think we can win on this one. any suggestions?

I see the ladies have Tecates in their hands.... I agree, I fancy Corona, but have changed my taste for the river with Tecate. I respect the fact that glass is NOT a good idea. But, realistically it is the responsibilty of the individual and NOT the bottle....to bad some bad apples ruin it for the rest

Well I think us as owners & operators, we respect the water & the unwritten rules. Its the newbies or the first time friends that go along that get all f-up and dont understand why glass & the river dont mix, until they learn the hard way. :(
Good thing my wife likes tecates... I am waiting to experiance my first "busted" action. :D

Hey Brian, I was planning on coming out....but I forgot about a Toys 4 Tots Poker run out of Barstow (Slash "X" Cafe). I gyess I promised about 6 family & Friends (37 peeps) that I would be there to run it. BUT?? I have been talking it over with the GF about heading to the river. Current Weather Report shows Barstow (sat) mid - high 60' and high 30's for the night....Havasu is showing low - mid 80's and mid 50's for the night. Can you guess where I want to be this weekend???? If we decide on Havasu I will let you know

SCUBA STEVE

it should be fixed by this friday. I hope. I am taking it out fixed or not, I promised my daugther we would go out this coming weekend. Thats all she has been talking about for the past few weeks. No I really dont venture to the lower part of the river. Mainly because I dont know of any spots to hit. Fill me in and I see if I can make it one day.

Yeah I was actually out there Sat at Topock and later at sandbar. Topock was great as usual, but sandbar was disappointing though. Maybe it is that I'm getting older but most girls getting wild didn't look to over 15 years old. Some very nice boats though especially the yellow Carrera with the monster motor and I don't usually like props.
