I would like to get an infant neoprene vest for my daughter.Anybody have an ideas on who has the safest and most comfortable ones out there?Ive seen pics of the Oneill one but havent seen them up close. She's only 11 months old and probably too small for a normal material vest.Too bulky,I would think. So Im searching for the neoprene ones.Throw me some ideas if you have them.
Thanks Johnny R.

I got a Hallett one for myself and it ran me almost 100 bones, but its a good one, zipper and straps, feels like a perfect fitting glove. I'm sure Dave has some he can sell you with the DCB logo on them. I saw some really nice ones at chicks sporting goods, but I'm sure big 5 will have them too.

I've owned 3 or 4 of the ONeil ones. Great vests, but not the cheapest? The first ones I owned were for competition skiing and they WERE NOT USCG approved. Now the new ones that are being made are. I still use non USCG vests sometimes cause they weigh a lot less and aren't as bulky, but I'm not sure I would recommend one of these for your daughter. For example, when I fall wakeboarding, you kinda sit a little lower in the water, definately don't keep you on top of the water the best. But they look cool, with or without a DCB logo.

In the spring Sam's Has neoprene vests for 35 dollars each. All sizes. I think they are Ocean Pacific. Real nice vests, several colors, and just as good as the Oneil I bought my wife. They are USCG listed. Best deal I have ever found but they always go fast. Do they have Sam's Warehouses on the west Coast?
Good Luck

We got neoprenes for the kids last year and they are cool if they are just swimming, but, if you leave them in them all day (or several hours) the neoprenes tended to chaffe the kids necks and chins. The regular nylon are really better and less abrasive if you plan on them wearing them all day. This is for kids 8 and younger.

With infants you really need the type that have the head support to keep them face up should they go in the water. They are pretty bulky but I found that my kids just used them as big pillows. You could put them on the floor of the boat or in my wife's lap and they would fall asleep in the jacket.
