I can find at least 35 cents a gallon difference just going around town. I've seen it upwards of $1.70/gallon in Scottsdale. It's gotta be some kind of a price fixing deal to have that much of a difference. It should be cheaper as it's better for tne environment than gas is.

Come to think of it, when I first bought a Diesel in 1988...diesel fuel WAS cheaper then regular grade gasoline. Also if i recall...diesel fuel is less expensive for the manufacture to produce than gas... I would belive the cost hike (rip-off)is also due to increasing popularity of diesel vehicles...were defiantly getting boned at the pumps!

Diesel is a crude. Takes a fraction of the process to get it ready for the consumer. It should be half the price of reg unleaded. NOT! As usual it's supply and demand. Typical goverment.... don't get me started. :D

Our Diesel now sells higher than premium Gas @ $1.92...Total Bull $hit!

Diesel was cheaper to produce than gas, but new regulations added refining costs. Plus the biggest fallacy is that a barrel of oil can produce gas or diesel. For every 3 gallons of gas in a barrel, there are only 2 gallons of diesel.

Paying $1.86 up here in O'side..same station has reg/unl @ $2.19......always the cheapest in North County.
BTW--paid the same in Quartzite a week ago and it seemed to be a bad batch..more rattle than normal, next fill up noise deminished again.

Talked with some Oil men awhile back at a convention and complained to them about the price of my diesel fuel. They explained to me that one of the reasons that gas has stayed more reasonable on price is because of the byproducts that the extract while making it, Years ago they had no use for alot of the byproducts but they have found a lot more uses for them. In other words less refined oil has less of a dollar factor for them

Jordy when do you pick it up? I fly out next Thursday on a red-eye to Detroit. Pick it up after final inspection and payment on Friday morning and haul ass home. I signed all the papers yesterday and sent them a deposit. By far, and I don't want to jinx myself, but this has been the easiest deal I've ever done with a car dealer. Paying wholesale, no taxes, no haggling. Just get in it and go.
I do have my wheels and tires picked out. If anyone needs some stock aluminum HD chevy wheels with 245/75R16's on them let me know, otherwise I'll probably put them on Ebay.

I can't wait to come down south and get some of you guy's cheep fuel. 74.9 cents per litre times 4.54 liters to a gallon equals $3.40 per gallon. Man, I think I'll bring home a tanker at your prices... And you think your getting burned, ha!! red burningm

Red, don't forget they have small girly gallons. That brings the price down to $2.72. Also, they're dollar is worth a lot more than ours. That brings the price down again to $1.82 (in US $ and US gallons).

The tires are Firestones and look to be in pretty decent shape. They have 13K miles on them right now, and will have 15K in a little over a week.

I figured if nothing else sooner or later we'll meet up at the river and I can just drag them along then. I might even be in Havasu in two weeks.

Whatever works. I might be out in Cali sometime before then doing some stereo/video stuff in the new truck. We'll get it figured out. If nothing else, I can always throw them on a pallet and ship them out. There's lots of ways to get this accomplished.
