It's time to have my Littlefield 1071 re-stripped and freshened. Who is the best for this?

Know a couple of people in the same situation also. If you don't mind sharing.

I just took mine to Littlefield for new bearings in the nose, and to have it gauged. If it ain't broke they won't fix it. On top of that, they did it while I was standing there and were really cool guys. They even gave me new pulley bolts, cause mine were "ugly" and didn't charge very much at all.

Sorry to take so long to answer but it took me quite a while to find out how to log in with all these new upgrades. Also notice now I am a senior member. I guess my age must be showing.
What I told BAH468 was to save his money and not send his blower in. The reason I did this is for a couple of reasons. I know what boat he has and he's in town here local.
#1. He has all the blower tightness he needs for what he is doing and I will probably be taking blower drive out of the thing when he starts racing. Probably underdrive to run 8 seconds.
#2. Re stripping blowers is more for the guys who run all out, not necessary for most bracket racers. I prefer a loose blower anyway because they are more consistant, less heat and easier to predict an et. Typically we wind up taking power out of the motors to run 8 seconds, as quicker than that a capsule is required (Except NJBA).
So, if you are doing what he does which will be occasional racing and your blower looks and feels to be in decent shape, save your money and polish the outside of the blower. As far as who to work on your blower, Mert's got to be one of the best. He built me an alcohol blower that rises much quicker than my fuel curve. And he's not getting it back to "freshen" it up either! At least not till I get 50,000 miles on it!:D

Thanks Fiat, You may be right. Through my last season, I turned my blower down 14% and still could run 7.80's ( I think I was making the tune up happier) Maybe I should leave it alone.?
Next question.....Who do you send your Mag's to for service?.....Cerillo?

I always used Don Zig for mine. Not saying he's the best, just that he's the guy that I used. Was always happy with his work and he did it on time.
