My boat is 1 year old, and I have 53ish hours....
Is that average, or low.

Its hard to believe but we put a quick 85 hours on ours this year. 53 sounds pretty respectable to me.....

We put about 60 hours on ours. We had some v-drive, transmission, and oil pump issues so we would have put more on it.

I would image, on average, people who own places at the river put more hours on than those that hotel and tow. Just a guess though.

I average about 85 to 100 hours a year, so 53 seems low to me especially on a new boat. I think the first year is the one you put the most hours on. I have a neighbor who has a 1995 Essex and he has only 153 hours on it. My theory is you pay for it use it.

Low hours may not mean little use though. There were several weekends that we used the boat to get out on the lake or river and found a beach or cove for the family to play or party on. The boat may not have gotten many hours on it those weekends, but we had a few days of fun that we couldn't of w/o the boat.
We limited our trips this summer too, due to our daughtor only being 1.5 years old and not able to hang in the heat. No t making excuses, just explaining our situation.

We only average about 50 hours a year. I get a lot of use out of it, but we seem to end up hangin out in the channel or a cove etc... Now that I have kids I have to drag a bunch of freakin toys out with us to keep them entertained and wherever we stop I have to drag all of them out for them. So, we usually end up staying parked there for a while. My father gives me hard time and tells me I bought a $60,000 beach chair because were always parked just hangin out in it.

We average between 80-100 hours per year. We have a place in Havasu, and therefore have a lot of guests come and stay with us. We like to show them around the lake, and that always includes the bar at Havasu Springs, and runs to the Sandbar and Topock. That, and an annual trip to Lake Powell all add up.

I have 409 on the 1993 Crownline it just bought(40hrs per yr). Had 400 even when i got it last week!So I have put on a few. But mine will run the hours up justing with the radio on so im go to have to fix that. BUt i figure if you say a car averages 40mph across the board than a boat with 400 hr is like a car with 12k miles on it. Still new if you ask me, plus they are not near as hard of miles as you put on a car motor. Just my .02 ;)

We put more hours into working on it than using it this season.:(
But she's good to go now!
Lucky for us we are having a long summer, Still at 100 degrees here! So those hours are still being put on.

We have put 143 hours on the boat since we bought in March 2002 (Avg of 71 hours per season) They guy I bought from had only put 42 hours on it in 2 years. I guess that why he sold it.

I usually put over 100, but I have put as many as 300+ on in one year. This year was a bad example as I was selling my big offshore boat, I only put about 40hrs on it before I sold it in August.
I have had the Ultra for about a couple of weeks and already have 10 hours on it...

Our old boat we just sold had 196 hrs..boat was 10 yrs old. Like RTJas, we get out on the lake and find a place to hang for the day and do some playing here/there.
New boat has 11 hrs in two trips essentially. Probably will end up on average 60-75 hrs annually.

54 hours on mine this year, and as mentioned above, this is running time. We were out on this thing every weekend from may to the end of Sept., and about every second evening after work so we spent a great deal of time on the boat. Keep in mind I have to trailer to the lake....

The new Alandra, from mid April 03. to now 115hrs. & 55+ launchs @ Windsor alone since Dec. I think I'am up on them on the season pass thing. I hope to pick-up another before they stop selling them. Time to try Catalina maybe in a couple of weeks.

When I launched last Tuesday from Windsor I asked the ranger what the dealio was on the pass. He stated that they weren't going to decide until either later this month or next month regarding the yearly passes. I'm with you on this one, I've also launched over 55 times this season.

Having little kids makes it tough, but we did about 50 hours this year. I think I drank about 50 gallons of beer though. :D

About 400 or so hours in 15 seasons. Average is about 20-30 a year, but we do go alot, we just find that one particular harbor and hang out for most of the day...
Now that my kids are getting into boarding, I'm sure the #'s will kick up in the future...

I put about 75 hrs. the first year, Average about 50-60 per year, except the past two.
Sadly, last year didnt even see 20 hrs, this year was was only slightly better.:(
Spent more hours on maintainance and improvments than use.
Although, like many, the time spent at Havasu isnt always in the boat, driving.
I figure I spent about 500 hours at Havasu this year, probably less than 5% actually driving the boat.

We are averaging around 100 plus hours a year, we (meaning my dad :D- Nodigg- you reading this) bought the boat in 1996 and when I looked Oct 3 at Havasu the hour meter said 787 hours, and that doesn't count the 50 hours or so we had on it when we took it in for our "20 hour check-up." The hour meter got reset, go figure.
Rivertoys is right, if you just sit there, no hours and that can be virtually an entire weekend. Besides Havasu on the 3rd, I've been to the lake weekly and probably average 20 minutes of engine time on Sundays- drive to and from Humbug at Pleasant- enough said.
Pay for it, and use it--50 hours a year is pretty good in my book.

Spend more time on the boat now that we have a house in Havasu but less hours.
We seemed to drive the boat all day when we were there for just a weekend and racked up 50 to a 100 hrs., a season. Now its more like 50 to 60 hrs. a season because we go out find a cove and park it.

I think a average is about 60 hours a year for most. We hang alot also and but we do 2 or 3 different stops like , Moabi, Topock, Channel then Havasu Springs for dinner, this would be a typical weekend for us plus not getting off lake to 10 to 11pm. My boy is a River Rat, he's been at Havasu since he was 5 weeks old and now is 5 so he loves what ever we do. Here is a picture of him at Foxes at 3 years old.http://carreraboats.com/regatta2001/images/trevorhula.jpg

About 50 hours this years, and that was quite a waste. This year at Lake Mead, the water was severly smooth. For the first time in more years than I care to remember, we didn't get blown off once including a lot of 3 and 4 day week-ends. Actually the biggest problem we had was the extreme heat, 120+ for weeks, and that just burns you down sooner. Nancy hates to wash the boat when its that hot!...

Between 50-60 hours. Most of the time were driving from Park Moabi and parking at the Sand Bar all day, with a trip to the channel every now and then.

146 hours so far this year. I'll probably end up with 175 by the end of the year.
This time of year we have the lake all to our selves, and the water is glass. The up side is no "WALLIES" or "ROACHES" f****** up the butter. The downside is 45 degree water, and not even a hint of T&A.
Do what ya gotta do for your passion I quess.;)
