OK here is the info on the boat;
The boat is a '77 Sanger Super Sprint Jet
The pump is a Berkely 12JBA (Sanger special) with Placediverter
A impeller with angleiron grate
The engine is a BBF 466ci 617hp@6000 606ftlbs@4500
Mph @ 5300 is right about 72mph (speedo shows 75mph)
Heads where holding us back did some port work and removed the Stealth and single AFB 750 for T-ram and 2 AFB 750's also more compresion from 9.2 - 10.8 and just a few more ci's. So we will have 472ci. I expect to see about 5800 - 6000rpm's which should put us into the mid 80's. I am also thinking about a droop and a top loader grate. That should loosen us up where we may hit 90mph.
So does that answer your question?

Yep. I keep info on jet performance and just added yours.
Thanks Thunder,

Why dod you save this info ???

I started a long time ago on another board when I was working on a speed curve for jet boats. Good info on power, impeller rpm, and speed was tough to find on the net or from magazines like Hot Boat. Eventually, some of the numbers I collected went into the JPC curve. Over the years I've collected info on about 80 jets. It's part hobby, part interest in jet performance, part knowing the competition, part just keeping up with what fellow jetters are doing.

Hey Squirt!! Those pics were on the Sac River. We never stray down to the Delta. There has been a few float trips down to Sacramento but thats it. There is a bunch of pics over at my website. http://www.dragboatrace.com

I love picking on 100+mph v-drives. Now I have not raced any blown V-drives but most lake boats I have no problem with. But just in case next summer I will be running my new 572ci T-ram engine with a droop and a top loder grate. I should be in the 90's but we will See Ya !!! at the other end. Actually my jet is a little slower than my flat (blown 440 17'10") was but one hell of alot nicer to ride in. And I can throw a big tail. None of those pics where on the Sac river. One was at Clear Lake and the others were here in NC on Lake Norman.
