The mustang is a great looking and running car, but it's going in for it's second set of head gaskets in 3 years. Whats the deal with that. 1995 w/ 3.8 ltr V6
I gess it's time to unload.
Thanks Blown

V6------unload. The Flowmasters you put on are killing that motor. Ever noticed that it sounds like passing gas through a funnel?

3.8 l suck. If you are going to do the gaskets make sure you surface the heads and get new head bolts, use a little anti seeze on the treads and the bottom of the bolt head. But yes they do eat gaskets, I had a cougar I did three times.

I had a 3.8 l in a Capri that I had to do 2 x's in 6 months.
The 3.8 sucks.

when I had a prob with my composite intake on the 96 gt ,did a recall search and found out that I have a 7 year warranty on that one . .Same time I read about the 3.8 L head gasket problems. Call your local ford rep and try to get a freebe repair.Search on www.mustangworld.com .Lots of info there too.

Thanks for info guys,
Hoss no flowmasters, Wifes car totally stock. I knew I should have bought her a chevy.
Blown, thats good info, I'm having Ford do the repairs, about $1200.00. Then Autotrader
Spectras, I'm checking into that, The last set of head gaskets were under that warranty. they wont cover these. Still trying though
