My story goes like this it was about 3yrs ago and an Old Man had a 23'Glasstron Jet sittin in his back yard. I kept leaving notes on his door about the boat, and finally one day i got the call.I showed up to his house to find a 90yr old man who was from parker and had owned this jet since new. After talking for some time he began to tell my the he had learned every thing he know about jets from reading hot boat since the 70s. He did not mention the web site but he did put the term in my head so the next day when i got to work i did a search and here i am today been hook ever since! That focker  I had been into boats for some time but only once i moved to st.Louis so for obvisious resons i did not know of any hot boats or see them. And growing up as a kid in SoCal everything was cool so it did not dawn on me till then. Know its a full blown addiction!:frown:
So tell me your story? :D

I had just bought my 78 Daytona and needed some info. I did a search on Google for "Hot Boats" and there I was!
When I came on, I saw a bunch of drama about Topless and stuff and you guys intimidated me, so I just lurked for a few months.

Well since you asked here is the breakdown of unique visits from yesterday. This data is only for the main site though, it does not include the forum traffic. Generaly when I sit down and do the math the forums do a bit more traffic than the main site. It does show where everyone came from though.
(Each number here represents a person visiting the site, not how many times they viewed a page. That would be page views.)

Actually yes I did. Had several responses to my very first post about it and someone scanned it for me and emailed it, then I got the magazine from ***boat later on. Its actually been posted as a thread a few times since....you can search under Sunken Beauty I think and Pull it up.....maybe someone else remembers the title of the latest thread or still has the pics from the article, wasnt too long ago. Very good article, sank on its maiden voyage and was found some 20 years later in incredibly good condition.

OK guys I lied the truth is the guy said he learned everthing he knew from some guy named RIVER DAVE and that if I every got the chance to meet him and get his autograph that he would just give me the boat in return for the autograph, I did a search I here I am although this Dave guy would never give me his autograph due to the deamand and said it would cost me 4K. So i just bought the boat out right. When I told the old man what happen he said he was supprized and that he had been trying to find him ever since he banged his wife so he could kick his ass:D

BTW, Last I heard from the old man was he put a water bollon hit out on RD, and the hit man report to have broken RD wrist or something like that. The old man said he was happy with the result and would nolonger be seeking revenge on the RD punk!

One day I was out bike riding with my son wearing a Hot Boat Tee shirt. I rode past 75 elim's house and he and Jetforfun (I think) were out working on their boats in his driveway. As I rode by I said Hi and they asked if I was on the forums (this is the short story) when I said no they told me about it and the next week I logged on and registerd. I'm hooked mostly because I've met so many great folks to boat and camp with. :D
P.S. The BSing online is fun too.

I use to subscribe to the mag. When the mag sad they were making a website I came on board. I believe it was Tuesday night when people would meet here. I even paid I think 20 bucks for the website.
Yes, the sunken boat article was really cool. The headders where even still chrome. I remember they contacted the owner but he was not interested in buying it back. Said it just went under. Had a Hemi in it if not mistaken. Would love to see what happenned to it. A salvage company owned it.

Kind of similar to AZKC.
Had a magazine subscription forever, saw an advertisement for a new Hot Boat website, subscribed to that (had to be '96 or thereabouts).
Didn't do much with that but browse around, signed on to the forums in 2001.

I found the ***boat forums, the clouds parted and the angels sang beautiful melodies....... :D :D
Now I have a beeeyotchin' boat that is a blast to drive, and I've met some really good folks here. There is a sense of "family" that makes the forums special. I still remember our members that have had personal tragedy in my prayers........
