A freind of mine whats to put HP 500's in his 35 Majic. He has build 540's he will be selling, wants the advantage of the computer's. anyone know someone with HP 500's please let me know

Now that's a good question, all i know right now is he wants to get the advantage of the computer, and the new fail safe systems. I know they have a term for it, when there is a problem, it will not let the engine spin over 2K. Hope this helps, will try to get more info.

Two sets I know of for sale down here in Fla. One set are 1998's with zero hours (don't know if thats never run or rebuilt tho) he's asking $12,000 each- 954-462-1904.
Second place is Offshore Performance Specialties in Sarasota he had a few at $19,755 including warranty.

Boy for that kinda dough you could purchase quite a few cam shafts, and heads for a 496HO..let see 12K per motor x2 24K. I would think someone would produce some sort of mods to get you from 425 to 470 for less than 24K and still get the Smartcraft instrumentation and control..

Well he gave up on finding a pair of 500 and is having his 540's rebuilt, but thamks for all the help and replys
