I love it! Thanks for posting those pics Steamin- that boat looks really good. You can see the resemblance of the Shockwave lines, which makes it even better. I can wait to see it in person- LA Show :D
Just knowing how nice the guys at Shockwave are, and their quality of boats, has to put this boat on some cat "lookers" list.

Wow! that cat looks badass. I can't wait to go see it when it's done, I am sure it will be top of the line just like every other Shockwave out there. Does anyone know how big it is? The weight? ETC.

I heard the bottom is similar to the Talon bottom and is suppose to be very fast. I love the lines, it looks great. Sure to be another great boat in the Shockwave line.

Ok guys , we took our 29 deck and cut it up to make it fit .The lines on this boat are very clean like our 29
It takes a great amount of time and money to get "a plug" to this state , we will be "tooling" the mould for the deck monday off of this plug , when its done we will begain work on the bottom we have just roughed the bottom out at this point , we will have to adjust the "step" to fit the center of gravity and guess at the appropriate dept and size (no easy task ) but we have nailed every boat we have ever built so I am every confident this will work out well .We now have to flip it over and get it dailed in, It is going to be total shockwave from top to bottom tip to tail make no mistake ,this boat is going to be very fast . I can only guess on the bottom but I think at least 2 more months ,I will take more pics as we go so you all can see the (TOTAL) process it is very intresting to see
Now we need a name and it needs to be in line with our shockwave theme any suggestions

Well, just in case the bottom is "similar" to another well known bottom out there, eg Talon, AO, etc, and you want to make this boat truly fast, I would suggest raising the center pod about 4" and perhaps flattening it out a little. That way you can get the X up higher, still get the boat on plane, and have the pod out of the water at top speed. Of course it probably won't turn as well but hey, you can't have everything!

hi barry never met you but i hear great things about you and your boats. please take no offensive to my marketing strategy i think im a little to bored at work, the cat looks awesome and if its anything like your other boats im sure well hear nothing but great things about it looking forward to seeing it at the show.derek ps. way to much time on my hands

i was gonna say richter ealier but didn't feel like looking up the spelling! then i thought why not call it something different yet balsy like the"claw". or the "Trepidator" or "Trepidation Cat". most might hafta look it up. but i think it's one of the best yet. i would like my test ride soon as one's built with a blower motor :D

AZKC, I was thinking the same kinda names. I figured Shockwaves don't always have to be associated with Earthquakes so here's some information that I pulled up.
Shock waves are the primary reason you hear what's called a sonic boom. But there's more to a sonic boom than just shock waves. Here are the basics ingredients of a sonic boom:
*Take an object moving at SuperSonic speed, example (airplane)
*give it a medium through which sound can travel, example (air)
*put in some shock waves around the tip and rear wings of a plane and you've just created a Sonic Boom.
As an airplane flies faster than the speed of sound, it "pushes" on the sound waves in front of it. But sound waves obey the speed limit--they can't travel faster than the speed of sound. So the waves pile up against each other as they are created. These "piled up" waves are called shock waves. The greatest shock waves are at the tip and tail of the plane.
