hey at least you're not in denial. :D
i learned that snot is not a suitable replacement for silicone on a jet pump.
i also learned that 8-gauge power cable IS a suitable replacement for my jet's handhole cover seal after forgetting the rubber seal at home.

Don't take the boat out even once without the driveline cover on. My "hard way" lesson learned this year.
