Well after much thought and re -thought, I got to the bottom of the swap and even if it were reasonable in the cost area ,and it is not , the swap requires a 27 inch transom to do not tomention having to move the motor aroung and messing with the center of gravity and the pivot axis, it could be done with a lot of mods but not for me. I will sink the dough into my motor and pump and still be way ahead money wise not doing the conversion, but no where near the speed of a surface drive. would have been nice but a different hull would be required to do it. maybe in the future a 21-22 ft tunnel or something of that kind, I will do this one day , just not today.
Thanks for the info and help along the way.... I guess it is now time to eat my proverbial hat...
Bryan
By the way the guys at Arneson are top notch, I spoke with them for about an hour or so this morning...really nice people.

Stand off box for the transmission.
The pulse drive comes complete with that.

The pulse will not work on your boat very well. They do not back up or steer when going slow.

This is the only one that was Designed to Replace a Jet on 16' - 26' Jet Boats. (if he is still making them?)

They have reverse and have a bigger rudder than a v-drive. Two flanking rudders if you want it.

Put all the rudders you want on a pulse, they do not maneuver at all period.
They are nothing more than a ski boat drive train stuck to a transom via a cheap fiberglass mount.

Looks like those pulse things are on some fast boats.
