A friend of mine just built a New 36 NorTech Supercat.....
He asked my opinion on the paint
I like green ....Not so sure on the stripes...

Hey Brian that's sharp it's clean looking and the stipes add some contrast giving the color some breaks. Very nice boat IMO.

Not the color. The fact that we picked out almost that exact color for the Avenger that we are building. We haven't had the paint laid on yet, but we have dropped over $800 just in the cost of the paint.
We thought that the color was soooooo ugly that nobody would ever choose it for a boat and we'd have a ne of a kind.
We are going to do some crazy stripes though but in Crazy Purple.
Cool look though. :D

Damn, why can't I have friends that have sh!t like this...I hope to someday have the trouble of having a funny looking nor tech 36 with 2000hp. People might laugh at the color, but they'll be doing it in his wake.

I think it looks tight...I would not chose green, but it looks good on that boat...also, I think the Guage cluster is one of the better ones I have seen (MTI and Skater both lack in that area; Cigarette's do nice clusters)....I am a fan of Platinum Gauges, but to have the platinum surrounds with green matching gauges kind of raises the custom factor to it...

That is a sweet ride, but the bright green is a little tough on the eyes. I am sure that that thing would reflect light like crazy in the sun. Like RD said, I think that it needs some sort of graphics to break up the green a little. Some sort of purple or blue on the boat would look sweet. Not too much, just enough to make it pop a little more than it already does. If they take it to Havasu...I want a ride!!!

Just found out about this thread. We figured this one would fall under the love it or hate it category but knew it would definately create attention. We feel the boat has great lines and doesn't always need a lot of additional graphics. The concept here as someone noted is the GT sports car theme. You could add more colors and details but that would detract from the idea.
Anyway we appreciate the comments and believe me we'll paint yours any way you want it. By the way the boat sold in 24 hours after it debuted.

Don't have any pics of that boat in the water yet but you can go to fastboats.com site and click on the nor-tech link. They have some video clips of the Lambo orange version. You can also go to www.nor-techboats.com, go to boats and then "click here for photographs..." go to 3600 and you can see a number of different shots of details, paint jobs, etc...
Just so you know, we are introducing a 43' version of this boat at the Miami show.

Jet boat Brian,bought 3600 super cat back in sept. should be ready in late dec. I spared no expense from motors to the trailer,the boat should be sick.I appreciate all your posts and pictures for the last few months, it's given me something to look at besides nor-tech, and fastboats.com websites.Tron and Terry from nor-tech took me for a ride and I came home and sold my skater to buy one, thats how sweet it is.Five people, 180 gallons of gas, and saw the gps at 140 with me driving,and the boat felt like it was on rails.I have owned 7 boats and have never been treated so good by a boat manufactuer,there professionalism is second to none.Terry Sobo, nor-techs salesman, should get salesman of the century, that guy is frickin great. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but just out of curiousity what does one of the 36's cost approx. with 2 1000 h.p. motors & #6 drives. Priced range is fine. Don't want to pry into what other people have paid for one. I just need to know how often I will be saving my lunch money to save up for one of those.

The Green is ok, The dash is hard to see, & would not be my 1st choice.
Now lets talk about the day when we all grow tired of ones toy's & its time to sell that once loved treasure.
How quick is a lime green 36ft cat going to sell, c/w silver racing stripes down the center.
Does this deter the buyer from the sale?
Does this devalue the price some what, due to a complete repaint job that is needed?
Lets hear some of your thoughts on this!

Ok...My thoughts..............As fast as these boats appear to be selling,and as nice as they handle and ride ...whatever the color, a used one ...properly reduced for depreciation will probably sell as quickly as new ...The value is in the boat ...not the paint

3DO,it would be a lucky day for you if they would give me a tow rope,it would be easier for me to tow that wannabe nor-tech,smoked hp 500, one day only boat, to the ramp. You would think a boat named Maximus would have a 1000hp a side, not 980 total.I'm also thinking the local third grade class with crayons could do better on paint. Have a wonderful day.

Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas is a 36' Nortec outfitted with a pair of 1,000 h.p. motors & #6 outdrives. I don't feel that I should be greedy and ask for the 1500 h.p. motors, but if you would be nice enough to give them to me I would appreciate it. If you don't it will be OK, I will just have to settle for 2,000 h.p. in a boat instead of 3,000. I promise if you deliver this to me on Christmas Morning I will never ask you for anything again.

Even though I am a DCB fan through and through...and I like the skaters....
If I had enough nickles (fat chance:D ) to move into the 32'+ class that would definitely be a boat of choice....I like the way it has some protection like canopies but still an open feel to it...and design and lines on the rear section look great...

Do I sense jealously with the fact that I have a paint job. If I have told you once, I have told you a thousand times - I DO NOT LIVE IN SB!!!! Keep yapping about the fact that your new Snort-Tech is going to go 55 mph faster then me!!! The only thing that 55 mph is going to accomplish is helping you keep that big nose higher in the air then you already do. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Make sure you keep that tow rope handy, your diffently going to need it this summer when your motors realize that there not in a Skater anymore and cant' push that pig up on plane!!!!

The only time you have ever seen 110.4 is on someone elses gps.I Will lay off about real drives for you, I forgot your wannabe nor-tech, skater splash, won't work with real drives. You and BLING obviously have some issues but I'm curious about the inclusion of Nor-Tech bashing in your rather heated posts.
Have you seen one, been in one, or know somebody who has?
This is our first 3600 to head west and we're hoping it will be the first of many. If it gets out there and blows then have at it, we can certainly understand constructive criticism. I'm only asking that you at least give it a chance before slinging muck on a public forum.

Im glad to see a boat manufacturer that takes so much pride in thier product. I feel bad that you took these posts in the wrong context. Bling Bling and myself are extremely good friends and spend much of our hours bashing each others posessions including trucks, boats, motorcycles, sandtoys, homes, etc. As far as slinging muck, I said "The insult regarding the pig was not towards the Nor-Tech. I think they are the shit. I love the lines on the boat, and they are really throwing some good numbers. It's the shit thats going to be driving the one coming to the west coast that bothers me!!". Please except my appoligies, as none of this was meant to offend you or Nor-Tech. We talk at length daily about the boat and I can't wait to see and ride in it. I think im almost as excited as he, as a good friend should be.

Thank you for clearing that up. Inside jokes are hard to get when you're on the outside.
I had and encounter not too long ago with a die hard ($#%#$&^%) owner that had limited firsthand knowledge of our boats. He reffered to them as "snore-techs". The next day I took the liberty of blowing him off the water numerous times. After that all he could talk about was how amazing the boat was and he never mentioned that reference again. When I saw your posts I thought "here we go again" and wanted to put that to rest.
So anyway thanks again and I'll only charge you an extra 25% when you're ready for yours!
