Racing in the rain, sounds like a challenge.
I do some work for a guy who builds Subaru's for sandrails. The Subarus make good power.
In my book, any racecar is a good racecar.

Now you're talking :D A bit out of my price range, but the interesting thing was one of the Ford honchos was asked if they were going to use the engine for anything else, he replied, it'd be a terrible waste of resources to build it and then use it only in the GT :) How about a King Cobra? One with guts this time instead of decals :(

Anything that has horse power and hauls ass is OK in my book! Again, I have seen some of the guys who have put over 600h.p. in turbo Subarus in their rails. They will smoke a lot of the new rails with LS1's or Northstars. I have to give Subaru a lot of credit. Can build h.p. on a budget with minimal size engine.

Corvette is the true American Sport car!;)
For me a sport car is any car who can take you from point A to point B in a very few time!;) (not straight off course)
My Subaru STI is a 4 doors because it's a WRC(world rally championship) replica!:)
but he has a 2.0 turbo engine with 310 hp and he wheighs only 2900 lbs!!:)
0-60 mph -----> 4.6 seconds
Top speed-----> 160 mph!!:D
and it's very exciting too!!

I have a friend with a 96 Cobra who gets WHACKED by those subarus all the time on the 1/8 and 1/4 mile, and my friend can drive really good !! That Subaru is my next toy.

I can vouch for that. I have owned two and these cars absolutely kick ass on the twisties. Add a little water or snow to the road and they don't seem to care much. They are as relaible as Hondas and very well built. My parents have a Legacy sedan with 180k on the ODO. All original, only tune-ups and oil changes. Those are hard mountain miles too, not freeway cruising. I have amazed many Beemer and Porsche drivers with the abilities of my Subie on the roads up by Arrowhead.

Those 4 bangers now days are making alot of power, I`ll give ya that. But the exhaust sound from one getting squeezed through 2" pipe and released through drain pipe kinda sounds like me passing gas in a bull horn!

Yes your new STI is better tha ours because it' a 2.5 engine...
but it's heavier too...
You can put an Apexi AVC-R boost controller, sport exhaust by HKS and yuo'll get 350 hP about...:)

it still looks like an economy car to me...:devil: it looks like it needs a car seat in the back or something. maybe a huge aluminum mechanical wing and a 6" exhaust tip would make it more sporty. oh yeah and put carbon fiber chit all over it and clear lights. cut the springs and put neon lights all over it and it will be sporty!!!! What happened??? when did we start considering 4 banger rice burner economy cars SPORTS cars??

That car is awesome....That is my next toy. A friend has one with a 429 making about 500 hp. The car is just plain intimidating!!!
His license plate reads "PETSNK".
I have always loved Cobras and Gt40's.
