After observing many passes as a retired hydro driver, Im am now switching over to the otherside, a flatbottom. My hydro lake boat runs 167 honestly, and is quite boring like ALL hydros. Therefore I am purchasing a FLAT to kick some ---. Any recomendations as to what I should buy?

Please explain the difference.
As to Mr. Stupid, what does tea off mean? Some king of "stupid" inside lingo?

Do what Sunny Jones told me to do. Find a proven flatbottom that works and don't be afraid to pay too much for it. It's a lot easier and cheaper in the long run. I believe Jetboatguru has one for sale.

I can honestly say if there was a lake boat even remotely that fast around here I would have heard about it.
Call Mettler in Talequah for a Canyon if you want a serious boat.

You guys just take this speed stuff too serious!:D
You have to know how to do the math. They know how to do it in Nevada. When I would run 135 at the races and take my boat to the lake, those who would race me could always figure their speed by how far apart we finished. And I never met a Jet boat that didn't do 100 mph nor a hydro that didn't do less than 150. It must have been highly accurate as those guys never took their boats to the races.
Next chance I get, I'll have one of the guys email the formula to Info so he can give it to the guys back there.;)
And that is not an Oakie (how do you spell that?) slam!
