Dam, that's tight...:) That is the orange I wanted on my consoles, but the wife wanted red....That boat looks sweet...what are doing for power?
Also, nice color combo...:D

My dad does boat lettering in rancho and I asked him to think of some ideas, and about a month later and 30 or so drawings that is what he came up with.... Now when I was at DCB I said I want the same colors as mike, which happened to match the drawing... the boat matches the picture exactly.... even down to the ghost flame in the deck.

I dig the color of the dash...that's the color I wanted (wife voted red)...
Is that a Teague 800 going in?
When will it be ready?

In the second pic, what is that billet thing next the hatch latch?

UnionJack
11-07-2003, 06:30 AM
Everyone asks what that billet thing is and it is nothing, just a part sitting there, and yes a Teague 800, her first trip will be the Havasu Christmas parade

How cool is that ride gonna be? Condradulations. Thank god you've got those canopies when you mix together December weather and a Teague 800. The family and I will also be out for that Dec 6th weekend. Currently I'm installing that inverter for the xmas tree lights! Again, congradulations.

Congrats on the boat. It looks awesome. I picked up my Mach 26 in October, and it is an incredible boat. I would post pictures, but I am not smart enough.

Tobtek, Thanks for posting them. I only have the HP500, hence the name "budget baller". I am saving the pennies to someday step up to a Teague. That motor is so sick.

Unionjack, one thought...with all that color on the deck where you will walk between the canopies, be careful with scratching it....Friends that have color in walking areas find scratches they don't like
Get you some of that rubber stuff (not sure who makes it), but it is kind of link the stuff you put on the bottom shelves and drawers but the industrial strength version...I think they sell it at home depot....also no sandals...:D

UnionJack
11-07-2003, 06:07 PM
I will total be watching it... the great thing is my boat seats 5-6 so I can control the people on it, no stupid ladies

UnionJack

Does anyone know if my trailer comes with the tie downs in the back, or is that another option?

mbrown2
11-08-2003, 01:31 PM
That is an option...I forget how much, but not much...

UnionJack
11-08-2003, 09:02 PM
was there anything else you wish you had now gotten?, trailer or boat?

mbrown2
11-08-2003, 10:31 PM
More Pin Cleats...at least two...I forgot to some in the middle...We have regular cleats and pin cleats up front and in back...I need two more...If I was not worried about additional weight, I would have done two Odyssey 1700 batteries for the system and one 1200 Odyssey for starting...but I could not afford the additional weight with the outboards....
Can't think of any other options I would like...I got most of them except stuff like Cockpit cover...did not want to clean around the snaps...One trick thing on the trailer we went with is the Clear LED combo...that looks trick...

well I did the battery thing, I am thinking the same think with the cock pit cover, and for me a trailer is a trailer

IS THAT AN ITS DRIVE ??

mbrown2
11-09-2003, 07:12 PM
I am pretty sure that is an Imco stand-off box...looks much longer than the 7 ITS standoff...

UnionJack
11-09-2003, 08:45 PM
It is the imco stand off, I hope to see some performance gain from it, other then just looking cool. Carlos was running 108-110 I think w/o the box, so we will see what the box does

Taylor,
I just talked to Joey (Grass Pays) and he told me to come over here and check out your boat. Congrats on the new boat. That thing is bad ass! I'll be out at the Christmas parade in Havasu also. I definitely want to check it out in person.
Jim

UnionJack
11-12-2003, 02:31 PM
Joey told me that you just got your self a new ride... is it the one in the picture? That ultra 24 is a nice boat, and it used to be a DCB so that is always good, what do you have for power in it?

jbtrailerjim
11-12-2003, 03:42 PM
Yep, thats my new ride in the picture. It has a 496 Mag in it. It's not real fast. I've hit about 71 on the speedo with 3/4 of a tank of fuel and a couple people aboard. But going from a small block powered Essex to this was quite a change for me.
Has Dave given you any guesstimates on how fast your boat should run?

UnionJack
11-12-2003, 05:36 PM
Joey says you will be chillen that weekend with us... Dude 71 is good, there is no complaint with that. I figure that the boat will do 110, I am just getting so excited.... How do you like the ride of your Hull?

jbtrailerjim
11-12-2003, 06:16 PM
The boat rides awesome. I'm real happy with the boat. I can't say enough about how cool everyone at Ultra is also.
Hey be careful hangin with Joey. You know how he is to outdrives on his boats. Don't let him rub off on ya or we will have to call you Taylor (the drive destructor):D :D :D

UnionJack
11-12-2003, 10:15 PM
The last time in his 28' eagle we broke it, and then in carlos's 26 we broke that one too, I will try to keep him in check, lucky that his new 28 is built better then the eagle.... I couldn't tell is your boat open bow?

GRASS PAY$
11-12-2003, 10:20 PM

Mike your 26 set up is great, with no engine a stuff in the back it allowed you to get crazy... is it easy to clean in there or what? What is back there in yours... amps, genny... and?

mbrown2
11-13-2003, 09:14 AM
Thnx...its pretty easy to clean up under the hatch...now trying to clean all that hardware around the engine's gets a little tiresome...Other than the items you mentioned, just a couple batteries and the trim pumps are mounted back there..:)

Dave called me firday and said it will be done early, he said they got the motor in and of course it looks sweet. When is everyone heading out to the lake? I do not get off shift till sat. morning and my old lady and I will be heading out shortly after that, I am hoping to be on the lake at noon. I know that the bridge will be filling up fast getting ready for the parade, so if anyone is looking for GrassPay$ and I just bring some wood for the fire and something to drink to keep yourself warm.... I hope to have more pic's on monday---taylor

So the boat did 112-113 with a 30" prop and three people in it going down river with 1/2 tanks of gas.... on our way up river we did 110. I hope in a couple week to put a 32" on and see how it does. Any thoughts ?

UJ,
Sounds like good numbers....I am thinking the 32 might get you more on top, but take away some acceleration.....Sounds like the combo works solid right now...:D

12-12-2003, 09:44 AM
What gears are you running? How was the acceleration with the 30?

I am running the 1.50 and it moves good... it is going to be my summer prop
