Lunar Eclipse -- Nov. 8
Here's another chance this year to see a lunar eclipse. On Nov. 8, the moon will pass through the Earth's inner shadow (the umbra) and turn dark red. Don't miss it! Little more difficult for the west coast crwod to see the whole thing.
Tips for Viewing the Eclipse:
1. The eclipse will begin at around 6:30PM ET and last approximately 3-1/2 hours.
2. Find a dark spot and look up -- you should be able to see it from just about anywhere.
3. Unlike a solar eclipse, it's safe to look directly at the moon during a lunar eclipse.
4. Bring a telescope or binoculars for better viewing results.
