Going up Wed - Sun....What day(s) are you guys going out to the Desert Bar....I am trying figure out what day to go the Desert Bar (probably Friday) and what day to Circle Races...probably Saturday..

My wife, daughter, and myself will be there Wednesday night thru Friday morning. We might go to the Desert Bar on Thursday, but I bought a new (new to me) 28' deck boat that I have yet to use, so if it is nice out, I might take it out. We will almost for sure have a bonfire on Thursday night from around 9:00pm till whenever. Call me, Jim has my number. We will get together.

I want to hook up with you for sure. I would be there all weekend if it wasn't for my daughters soccer tournament.
I am lending out my new boat for the Parker Light Parade, I think it's on Saturday (not sure). I am going to use the boat the following weekend for the Havasu Light Parade, then I will bring it home so that my daughters soccer team can go on the Tempe Light Parade. It's funny, the only seat time I will have on the boat will be using it in Light Parade's.
I believe Kenny's (Desert Bar) will be open Thursday thru Sunday, unless "Hal" knows something different, but it is one of Kenny's biggest weekends and I can't see him not being open for all 4 days. He has always been open throughout the 4 days in the past, but if somebody knows for absolute sure, PLEASE POST! We will be there in golf carts, since I have discovered how to get there from my house (Badenoch's Subdivision) by way of dirt road (I am not talking about the Cienega Springs Road either). Which means we can drink with law enforcement impunity, since I do not believe that it is against the law to be trashed on a dirt road in a golf cart, but then again, with some of the stories that I have heard lately, I wouldn't be surprised if that is against the law also!

ok, c-ya's thrusday night for a little bon-fire action, friday desert bar in off road vech's, incl golf carts ;).....
saturday races, sunday football, nascar and left overs, and head home monday!!
maybe RD can stop by our place one time to check it out since its right up the street from him :p :p....hes such a snob sometimes:D :D just messing with ya dave!! :)

HERE IS A DESERT BAR TIP IF you want to park like the locals:
When you are going down Cienega Springs Road and you finally turn the bend whereas you can see the Desert Bar (just after going thru the narrow cut-out in the road). You will see a dirt road going down into a wash on your left. Go down that road (even though it looks alot rougher than the road that you are on, 4 wheel drive is not needed). That dirt road will snake around until you come to a fork with the road, to the left continuing down the wash and the fork to the right going up a hill, TAKE THE RIGHT FORK, this road will lead you to the parking area by the restrooms at Kenny's. which is as close as you can get. Also, I generally have pissed off every snow-bird that I have passed on my way out there, and it keeps them from finding me in the main parking lot. Nothing pisses me off more than being stuck behind some a$$hole that doesn't want to get his Continental dirty and refuses to let anyone pass him while he goes 10mph all the way to the desert bar. So I use every "Baja 1000" move that I know as I pass them at 70mph. I look forward to "smokin" these same people in my golf cart, since it goes 3 times faster than some of these people can drive!

As much as I was looking forward to going to the river over thanx-weekend, I will not be able to attend due to my daughters 8:00am soccer game Friday morning and throught-out the weekend. I hope everybody has a good time.
If you go by my house and see people, it's because I am probably going to lend my house to my neighbor, since he has invited 23 people to stay in a 3 bedroom. He assures me that they will be strickly there for bible study only!

Shopping here for the big stuff...went to Costco on Sunday...it was like cruising the channel on Memorial Day....except more clothes...stop and go, stop and go...Most guys I would make eye contact with; we would just laugh at each other...knowing we don't want to be there, but we have to deal with it...
If I need any of the little things, we get those in Parker; I am just thinking the Safeway there is gonna be packed, and I am worried about selection..:)

We are just about one mile up river from the Blue Water Casino on the AZ side. Riverside drive and hwy 95. I guess you know Jason and Linda? They have stayed at my place before and know where it is. Stop by sometime if you like.

Turns out that I am not going to be able to make it out this weekend. Someone definitely needs to take some picture of the circle races and post it for me so I can kick myself for missing the races and getting hurt.
