Drove down to So Cal Friday night and went out to the Winter Nats at Pamona yesterday. Billy B hooked me up with a Top Eliminator Club ticket for the day. Thank you sir for the hook up. Wish I could have stayed longer.
It looks like Dragboat racing is right on the heals of the Car drags.
BWAAAAAAHhaaaaaaaaa
Yeah right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your quite welcome Kato. And I can see where you could think that the boat drags are right on the heels of the car guys, just look at the crowd at Bakersfield next weekend. Should be close to Pomona  . You know what the shame of all this is, the majority of car guys I have painted for think the boat guys are all show and no go, no paying primadonna's, yet we spend hard earned money to watch them race and they don't even know who the top guys are in the sport of drag boat racing, or any boat racing for that matter.

Billy, any chance you can make Bakersfield? I will pay your ticket in. It is twice as much as the Top Elim. ticket but you are worth it.
I could show you how us drag fags do it. Throw Janice in the car and head up.

Most car racers are scared to death of boats. They think boat racers are crazy! Just try to give a known car racer a ride in a good flat!!!
Boat racing is coming back more each season.

Hey Wayne,
Hook up with Billy and make the trip to Bakersfield next weekend. Wayne just called and I have a spare BAE dual plug engine at the shop and we plan on putting it in Waynes new ride and shaking it out in the alcohol flat class. Is there room to shut down after a 178.93 pass?:D

I've heard the dirt and sagebrush hill slows things down quite effectively

A couple of years ago the World Finals in Pheonix were rained out and were run a couple of weeks later on a Sat. At the same time a Division 7 meet was going on at the dragstrip and you could go back and forth. Anyway some of the car guys came over and were sitting in front of me and watched the ProMod class. They were either amazed or dumfounded how these guys in boats were running consitant 7.0's while also cutting good lights.
