If anyone is interested I will split the bid and shipping with you.
I need the shaft , not the housing or impeller.

You might want to check and make sure, but I believe the shaft out of some of those A pumps is longer than the others. Wouldn't want you to think you were getting a bargain and not be able to use it.

Anybody know if the impellar will fit a JC or JB pump. I shouldn't assume that all A impellars are the same. Anyone know????

yes I dont believe that there is any difference in the impellers .
my question on the A drive . are the bowls the same ?? if the shaft was a different length I could use that housing with my bowl ??
thanks for the heads up on the shaft lengths

Yes, the bowl would be the same. However you would no longer have your drive shaft running inside the grease in the bearing cap. Take a good look at the cap and shaft in the picture. Those old A pumps have no way to keep grease in the drive splines.

yeh I noticed that. my drive is an JA-B originally now it's a
JA- A , what were they thinking when they designed it ??
I made a seal cap for it myself :D it's not perfect but it has to be better than no seal at all .

I would be very cautious of anything from a saltwater area! Jetpumps dont really like the salt and most people dont know how to care for salt water stuff. I have delt with stuff from florida people before and they seem to know exactly how long to use the stuff and then part with it at the right time before its trashed.

thats a valid point you have there . not only cautious of used marine parts from FL. but it's E-Bay too :(
from the pics that were posted it doesnt appear to have alot of time on it .
