Well Oklahoma was much closer. Just about 12 years ago.

It was a Hondo - very heavy hull. The engine was just a 427.
Dominator pump and AA bronze impeller. It would leave really well but lacked top end. Would turn it around 5,200 5,400 RPM if I remember right. Sold it about 10 years back.

I"m pretty sure that's the boat that sank out in front of the island many years ago. I don't know if that was before or after you had it Info. Waves came up over the back end...

Yes it did. It was before I owned it. Cannot remember the guy's name. He ran the drag strip for quite a while. I had a few close calls myself.

Sinbad when did you pick that boat up. I was trying to find out if they had sold that boat when they picked up the daytona. They said they were keeping it. It is a mach1 right? Nice boat, have you ran it? I know where the last mach1 ever layed up is sitting right now. The boat has never touched the water. I might just have to go over there and deal with them a little.

Hey Sinbad, did you buy that boat complete? Are you sure that boat is a Mach 1, it looks like a southwind tunnel with the box cut off. I have a Mach 1 and it looks nothing like that boat. What are the first 3 letters in the hull identification number, mine are HTB. If you did get the motor with the boat can you list the specifications and overall performance.
Much Thanks

557, the Das Boot was campaigned by Bill Rathke in the condition shown. He has since swapped that engine into the hydro he bought to replace it.

Hey Bense I picked it up a couple months ago. I help Bill with his Racing in the njba. He was holding on to it since the Daytona wasnt working out , Then came the hydro . I should have it ready for new years CFW.

Do you have any pics of your Mach 1. The rear pod was shortened to make room for a pop off. The outside of the tunnels is much smaller than the southwinds ive seen. The boat won the 8.50 bracket in the njba for 2002 with top speed of 128. I am repowering it with mild blown gas chevy in lake trim.
