Mike, I believe Tony has been pulling double duty and running Joey Grose's Flat, Playin Possum, ever since it pitched Joey a few races back. Tony took a First place in it at the last NJBA race

Superdave glad to see you and Mike F could make it out. The Bling Bling ended up setting the record in Ski flat @7.64 @136 mph. We struggled on Saturday with a transmission in the boat and decided to shit can that thing. On Sunday it hauled ass. In 3 consecutive passes it ran 7.65. 7.66 and 7.64. The motor is a 457 ci. Chevy with box stock 750 dominators. The boat is a new RGR (Ron Grose Racing) hull. Everything on the boat with the exception of the V drive and strut was built in house at Ron Grose Racing right down to the propeller. I am just lucky to have them toss me the keys to drive it.
The Abyss Pro Gas boat came around on Sunday as well. We struggled on Saturday with some little things but had them figured out on Sunday. We ran 7.16, 7.19, a few 7.20's and a 7.00 in the final. Didn't get the et record but set the mph record at 146 and change.
Saw every one of the Knutts in Bakersfield. I also saw 1st Timer and his son on Sunday. I figured he would be working on his hydro.

Blown,
The motor is not blown.
Ski Flat rules are:
No aluminum blocks
No more than 1500 CFM total on carburetion
Cast production manifolds
460 Cubic Inches max
The motor makes over a thousand hp.

Is it really a rule that the engine has to make over a thousand HP? Not just any JOE BLOW can make over a thousand HP with a 457. :D :D :D
Congrats. again Tony. The run was awesome to witness. You should have seen the look on Joey's face. You guys really brought Bling Bling around.

I think you could but could be wrong. I know you can't do anything to the carbs. They will look for the casting flash to see if ya messed with them.
Tony, That boat's fast and bad ass. But it's far from bling bling. You need to gold plate the wing and put some spinners on the trailer. Then it would be true bling bling. Maybe get some metal flake on it too. Yeah, that's it.

Again, like I told you Sunday.....Ain't No 1st Timer here....I maybe a little Knutts but 1st Timer is way out of my league..
