Where do you guys get your boat insurance? I have a '77 Cole with a mild 454 and a jet with log exhausts. Why won't Farmers write me any more?

Progressive basically dropped me. This was when my boat had thru-transom exhaust. Reason for dropping me: No engine cover.
They said I am supposed to have thru-transom and engine cover. I stated that I signed up on the internet and that they asked whether I had thru transom, but that the online application did not question whether I had an engine cover. I was put on hold so that they could verify my statement. They came back and said, "You are right, LO, our internet application does not include the question about the engine cover. This was an oversight on our part. It has since been corrected. We will honor our contractual insurance policy with you, but when it expires, we will not renew your poicy with this boat unless it has an engine cover."
Did I put an engine cover on? **** no! :DI put headers on!:D
I would like to find insurance, though.:(

LOL....Yeah, I posted earlier but maybe gave out more info than I should have:eek:
Let me say this, Allstate is my insurer, I have 2 boats (1 V-Drive, 1 Jet) that are insured by them, they insured me over the phone, no pictures, no need to look at the boats. I just made a phone call to my agent and he added them to my policy....few questions asked. I might add that each insurance policy is UNDER $1k per year.
As for the "Box" in my signature, look close....that is YOUR IP address! Now ya gotta wonder, is big brother watching us?  :D

Mine is through farmers. Strictly liabilaty for a buck and a qarter a year. Can't bitch about it. New agent this year came out and took pics and everything. It would cost a fortune to get it insured for what it's worth so I just sleep with a string attached to the motor and my pecker! Best insurance I know of! he he he
Wait a minute! the front 15 foot of my sidewinder is worth about 200 clams. The last 3 feet is worth about 7 grand. How can I insure the back 3 feet of my slug? That's all I need.
Useless I know!
Good luck!!!
Peace Man!

Strange how different people have different experiences.
