Anyone else read this book? Very good reading, talk about some serious wildman :D This book was right up there with The Door's "No One Here Gets Out Alive" and the Led Zepplin book "Hammer Of The Gods". Doubt there will ever be a full blown reunion tour though based on the relationship between Tommy Lee and Vince Neil. :( Oh well, maybe catch Vince this summer. Did see him some years ago opening for Van Halen, but regret never seeing the boys together.

been there read that. that was some crazy shiznit they had going on for a while. i like their old stuff better than their newer stuff music wise. also thought it was funnier than hell(but not surprising) about what they siad about OZZY:D

I've been meaning to read that book myself. I was a sophmore in high school when the first album came out. They were what being a rock star is all about.

Last good song from The Crue was Kick Start My Heart(and best)! First was Live Wire. Shout at the Devil kicked ass. Theatre of Pain was Mick Mars` coming of age. Dr. Feelgood,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,aaaaahhh,,,,some damn good songs but the album as a whole was flat!:yuk: Hard to use Vince`s voice. It only works in certain songs. This album also marked a deciding point in the Crue`s life as well as all Metal bands. COMMERCIALISM! Lets just crank out anything quick cause the stupid ****in` public will buy it. Every front man was reading the David Lee Roth book on How ****in` Great I Am! So alot of high profile bands split and the metal world was tossed. Grunge was tryin` to punch holes but the club scene was already started. Next thing you know,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BA M,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Hip Hop.
Lets see, Vince, Jane Lane, Sebastian Bach, Steven Pearcy, even rock GOD Rob Halford all thought they alone made the band. There were various guitarists from other bands as well that left. Every major gig was in torment. People like to identify but with mermbers always changin` they left.
These bands let the people that made them down. They stuck with them through the early and mid 80`s when they were not heard on the radio. The bands killed themselves.
Sure certain managment teams and record labels did their share of reach arounds. Like Gene Simmons did to KEEL. He also did it to Dokken`s Alone Again(the ultimate ballad).
I listen to my high energy metal still. But I`ve gone country. Just listen to it. It`s going metal. It is now Southern Rock. Give it 10 to 15. BALLS TO THE WALL NOW!

I just made my own greatest hits last night. Had most of the normal stuff on it from the store versions, but added City Boy Blues, Louder Than Hell, Power To The Music (even though it wasn't a complete Crue;) ) and from the last album, She Needs R&R, Fake, and Hollywood Ending.
Good to see Vince and Nikki still talking. Oh yeah, I forgot about the Ozzy incident at the bar :yuk: !!!

Wife bought that book when it first came out. I even read it. Good book and I don't read many. (I do plan on writing one someday)
Anyway with all this Crew talk I think I'm going to have to roll into work today in my MULLET camaro with the 1,500 watts, 2 12" subs and some LIVE WIRE kicking.
BTW, I've never stuck a phone in someone's pussy but I'ed like to. LMAO on that one.

i rember seein the crew at santa monica civic center right after to fast for love came out 3 nights in a row like 2500 people there each night it was awsome.

As I read this I see the Crue plastered all over my room when I was all of 13 or so. WOW!
I rememeber jamming Too fast For Love on Leathur records in my record player with the other girlies that were maddly in love with the BAD BOYS!!!
Now my 3 kids like the CRUE!!
My son just started playing the drums and I am letting him use Tommy Lees's stick that I caught from a concert many moons ago.
I am all up for old school Crue anyday!!
Next year is right around the corner.. Damn!!
