but I used to have a jet. 18' Tahiti w/455 and jacuzzi. Had a lot of fun in it and miss being able to carry all the people in it. Actually wish I still had it. Very reliable. This is the only picture that I ever took of it.

Only problem it had was when you were wet you could get shocked by touching the guages. Had a bad ground somewhere in that JETBOAT.:D Never did leave me stranded unlike the one I have now.:(

Serious Lakes.... Best part was going wide open, let off and crank the wheel and gas it again. Was pretty fun sliding it around. It probably topped out around 50-55. Good all around boat....jet that is.:D

No the JETBOAT is behind the v-drive boat . I was cleaning it up to sell. Sold it for 1500 and the motor had about 50 hrs on it. Interior was nice but the outside was hammered. Could have really used a new gel coat. First boat was a 16' Tahiti with a 4cyl I/O but that thing was friggen junk to begin with. Took a half mile to pull up a skier.

man, if I tried that at 55 mph in my boat, my hull would shatter and my powerplant would rip out and keep going in the same direction as before I turned....too light and fragile a lay-up. But it sure as hell launches good for what it is.
But I agree, I sure do love the way jets handle...

I do know that if you don't get back into the throttle after it slides around it goes under. Found out the hard way on that one.
