At least you got the first shot in.
Those deer had pretty nice rifles.

Very nice racks. Looks like a great time was had. By the way, those are a 5 and 6/7 point racks to me, not 10 and 13.
Just an FYI: I probably wouldn't have posted the pics of this. It could be very offensive to some. Or possibly put a disclaimer on the thread title.

Fine then....I made some changes, but I still don't think this is as bad as the pictures of the motorcyclist's head stuck into the grill of a semi......

If they are symmetrical we usually just count one side not including eye guards. But you are calling it a five and five so I am assuming you are counting the eye guards. Just different customs I guess.
Really nice bucks though! :)

OK Miller I see what you are talking about now. Yes we count them as points, I was not aware that they were not counted in your area.
Thanks , it was a great hunt and i think they are some nice trophies to be able to take home.
I hope nobody is disgusted with this thread, since I tried to take the pictures so there was little to no items of disgust...except of course for dead animals..

In the Texas Hill Country the WT bucks and Axis are the ones we hunt. I would never hunt anything smaller despite the humor. It just doesn't help out the population of deer to be taking down deer the size of armadillos out there.
Two years ago I bagged a medium size buck. But nothing else since.

See you this summer.

Hunting season starts off with the Hunters BBQ first weekend in November and runs till the first week in Janurary. I'll be out there this year for the last three weeks of the season.
Next year I could have ya out with some prior planning. There are a few hunters here on the boards that travel to the Hill Country for a good hunt, IE..Propless, OMEGAJET, and I think Jetty468....Nonetheless....good food, good people, awesome hunting, and some killer 4X4 driving.

Lots of Muleys around here if you are into that breed of deer. Personally I don't think they are much of a challenge, since all they do is stand there at stare at you....

Disclaimer? I think "whitetail hunt" says enough.
Eye guards? Brow tines or points in general. They count out here too.
Nice bag though. The Sask has got to be the absolute best production of Whitetails.

Hunting with a hockey stick evens things up for the hunted. Bow hunting is acceptable too.

Yeah but then you gotta be real still and quite! Not to mention half ass. I don`t use sights but I do use a weight on my Polar Bear 2.
68lbs.

I'd like to contest that..... The Rocky Mountain Mule deer lives in some kick ass hill country and are hard as hell to get a bullet into. And unlike the Whitetails they don't follow the exact same patterns and trails everyday. You rarely see a Mule deer fall to someone in a tree stand  Please! How hard is it to sit and wait for a deer to walk past ??
This is the true king of deers!!

You gotta kill before you can grill it.. I have no problem with hunting as long as its processed and used for food. The mount is a bonus.
