The Pres went to Bagdad to have dinner with some troops! Took a big risk and all of them know that. should be a big boost for morale!
Say what ya will about the war, his politics etc this is one thing that no one will blast.

Well, let's see....
He sneaks in under cover of night with his lights off
Spends two hours is a secure airport under heavy guard with a small contingent of troops
Sneaks out again
The only other president to do something like this was Eisenhower in Korea, and he wasn't yet in office. But Ike didn't sneak in under darkness; he did it in broad daylight.

Well, maybe, just maybe.....If you look at his profile, one of his interests that is listed is drugs. That explains it all:eek:
Seriously, I have a nephew that is in the 82nd Airborne and he has been in Iraq for almost a year now. He gets to come home in Jan/Feb. Couldn't spend Thanksgiving with him today but I was able to spend Thanksgiving with another nephew that is in the 1st Marines and he is going to Iraq in Jan/Feb. Not only that, the Nephew that is in the Marines also had to deal with today being his fathers (My Brother) 20th anniversary since his death....and he was in the Army at the time.
This was a very strange Thanksgiving for sure, and I tip my hat to our President for going over and spending his Thanksgiving with our troops.
If you like or dislike Bush, that isn't the issue here. The President was there for the troops, not for himself and anyone that can't appreciate that is ANTI-AMERICAN! YOU HEAR THIS CATMANFAGDO?

My son served in the 1st Cavalry in Bosnia, and the 4th ID in Korea. He just got out before the war in Iraq and is working at the DOE test site in Nevada. I went through many holidays sweating out his wellbeing and know how you are feeling. Best wishes for your holiday season, it is never quite the same with your relatives in harms way.

Props and prayers to our boys and girls in harms way this Thanksgiving. It doesn't matter who you vote for as President, The other side is a constant bash mode until their guy gets in and then its the other ones turn to bash. What a country!:D

If I was I would have a lot bigger boat than the one in storage, I'll tell you that right now.
Here's the bottom line on Bring 'em On Bush's Baghdad Boogie; HILLARY WAS THERE. If he didn't go, it would look like he didn't care as much as she does. It was all about PERCEPTION, a show like he did on the carrier.
But he doesn't care. If he did, he would INcreasing military benefits, not DEcreasing them. The military is his for the wars he wages, and will wage. Syria, Iran and Lebanon are next.

Obviously you weren't paying attention when a cargo plane flying out of the same airport was hit by a shoulder launched SAM!But it's okay Catmando,we feel your pain. It's hard bein a Dumbocrat these days.No matter how much their candidates and leaders keep hammering Bush he keeps trumping them. They talk about a bad economy but the news coming out everyday proves them wrong.Nobody can even name more than one Dem candidate. And no matter how much they bash Bush non-stop he does something like this and blows them out of the water.
