Worked for me.
What a trippy looking craft. I wonder how it would run with some decent power?

Spoke with owner ... Very Nice younger lad ... Boat is probably sold ... He'll know Saturday.
I'll at least have pictures of the bottom for my design archive if I can't get up to see the boat in person ... New buyer is from here in Phoenix so maybe I'll get a look at it in time ... Thanks 'OldRigger' ... Interesting forward & deck design ... need to see rear bottom to figure the whole thing out.
P.S.: There is a reason for the 'Tunnel Extenders' and the Diverter ... A bit Heavy in the rear, etc..

I know that boat. My buddy has known the family for years and raced him with his Kachina (lower 70's boat) and got the tunnel boat by quite a few lengths. The guy was only running a 350 SBC in the homemade tunnel. I'd say it runs in the low to mid 60's with that power. Not bad for a small block in what is probably a pretty heavy hull.
I believe it's truly a homemade deal, cobbled together in the yard/garage/barn. According to my buddy they were sorta famous around here at Lake Pleasant (back in the day). Known for grafting boats together so they'd have something to run.
I first saw it about 8 or 9 years ago. It was fresh back then and actually pretty cool looking (not all sun faded etc).
Kinda funny, the guy that was driving it returned to the cove, and told us that he was only running it at half throttle when they raced.....................
You be the judge.

I think it's a cool looking boat. Might be worth the adventure of a solid big block and a well-done pump setup. Being a "cobble-together" might be best built up gradually over a number of years to "feel it out" before just slapping 600 HP in it to see what happens.
