I'm going to replace the deck on my 65 Rayson and was wondering if anyone has had the experience. Primarily in the adhesive's area. Is that West system the way to go? Or is there a newer product out there?

Cool change,
Try contacting this guy.
He is kind of a god when it comes to Raysons.

We have a Sanger Wood deck up here, but we havent tackled the project yet.
Another guy that would know is Harlin Orin. I dont know how to contact him. Circle Jerk or someone else might.
Good luck with the project.

Thanks Todd, trust me it doesn't look like that now! The guy I got it from pulled the motor in '92 (389 Pontiac) and peeled the glass off the deck because it blushed. Well you know how that works.:( I found out about it when I did some work on a mutual friends boat and he said he might sell it to me. (for a lot!) Several years pass and that friend calls and says the boat has now been moved to the street and I should call him. Couldn't do anything as I was in the hurt bag so I blew it off. Then another call and its been ticketed then its been towed. So I negotiate a trade for some stuff on his other boat ( a Haskell:rolleyes: ) and he gets it out of impound, so I know it loves me like a pound puppy!
Good luck with your Buck Smith, maybe we should start a Regatta!

Harlan does not finish the wood decks he builds, so it wont be a problem, he a great guy and knows his stuff.
