The only thing I might question would be the hypereutectic pistons. There has been discussion on the forums about whether or not they will tolerate high rpm's for extended periods of time at high horse power. 612 HP @ 6000 RPM ??? I don't know. Other than that I think it sounds like pretty decent deal for the bucks.

hmmmm......
Maybe time to contact some of the numerous people who have bought a motor from this guy.
This sure seems like a decent deal, screw the rebuild, get another almost complete motor for the same price!
I'll check it out.

Hypereutectic pistons in a 600 HP BBC: not a bad idea.
Buying a high performance motor of Ebay: Not a good idea.

I was just curious. I wouldnt put hypers in a 600hp motor:eek:
The shop is located near me. I think I will go and check them out just to see what they are working with. Atleast if I ever buy one from them(which I wouldnt) i could atleast go to thier shop and kick someones ass if it blew up:D :D

I run the hypers in my 396 for the last 6 years, the boat runs 5,000 all day long and I have not had any problems with them what so ever and my pistons are not coated. if you dont plan on running nitrous or a blower I dont see why it would'nt be a good motor, your going to spend at least that just to do a good rebuild.

So far everybody I have privately emailed about their engine purchase has been satisfied, we'll see, I plan on contacting more (ebay only let's you send out so many emails in one day).

My thoughts as well, the guy is in the Phoenix area, not like buying something from the UK, the east coast, or even worse, Canada....
